Looking at the three Implosion-Type Atomic Bombs before him, Richard stretched his somewhat stiff limbs, and immediately, a string of crackling bone pops rang out throughout his body.
An indescribable weariness followed. His whole body felt as though it had been filled with lead; even lifting an arm was difficult. His ten fingers ached and felt terribly swollen—though they looked perfectly normal, they felt as if they had puffed up into carrots.
There was no helping it.
Although he had used quite a few spells to strengthen his physical condition and stimulate his body's potential, he had first worked at high intensity for nearly ten days. Then, after the accident, he had labored without sleep or rest for more than three days and nights. His body still found it difficult to bear such depletion.
Yet while his body was exhausted, his mind was more relaxed than ever.
At that moment, Richard could not help thinking about what he needed to do next.
Now that the Nuclear Weapons had been completed, there was no need to hesitate. Leaving Pompey as soon as possible was clearly the best choice.
After all, he had already determined that operating in Pompey under a hidden identity was no different from Dancing on the Tip of a Knife in enemy-occupied territory. Though it could bring substantial gains in the short term, there was always the risk of exposure. One mistake, and there would be no recovery.
Only by leaving Pompey could he ensure his safety.
And beyond safety considerations, he needed to leave Pompey for the next stage of his Nuclear Weapon plans and find an extremely remote, uninhabited region.
He had already thought through his reasons for creating Nuclear Weapons. First, they were for microscopic particle research, to understand aspects of the current world's fundamental
