"All right, that's settled."
Richard spoke. With a wave of his hand, a strong wind sprang up and blew toward the large pool of crimson liquid Noan had dissolved into. The liquid was blown away, revealing numerous items that had not belonged to Noan's body—tattered clothes, rings, pendants, and, of course, a book—the "Blood Codex."
Richard waved his hand again, using the strong wind to draw the "Blood Codex" directly before him. He carefully cleaned it off and put it away.
Turning to Barry, he said, "What I promised you—helping you kill Noan—is now done. I'm taking this book and leaving. As for the rest, the conditions you promised me—you haven't forgotten them, have you? You'll fulfill them?"
