Repeat, repeat, and repeat without end...
The battle against the Giant Mouse could be summed up in just two words: repetition.
Again and again, they entangled the Giant Mouse, allowing Xize to cast the curse on it.
Again and again, the Giant Mouse sent them flying, only to be restrained by them once more.
They paid a considerable price in the battle. After all, the Giant Mouse was no longer the single mouse it had once been, but a widowed mouse whose wife had been brutally murdered—even if she had only been a Paper Wife.
Xize had not been wrong. The power of love was formidable, but the power of hatred was even greater.
Under the Giant Mouse's fearless attacks of vengeance and its hysterical venting, everyone was injured.
Because of their lesser strength, Su and Molly suffered relatively light injuries—only superficial wounds. Still, they were disheveled and filthy, looking utterly bedraggled.
One-Eye, Wood, and Ice Block were more seriously injured, with quite a bit of blood staining their bodies.
Camel and Hulk, the main melee fighters holding back the Giant Mouse, had been ravaged the worst. Blood covered them from head to toe, making them look like men made of blood. It was enough to make one wonder whether they would die from blood loss the very next moment.
Yet every time the two of them fell, they would always get back up, charge at the Giant Mouse again, and block its path toward Xize.
Richard was the exception.
He was the only one who remained presentable and completely uninjured.
Whenever one of the Giant Mouse's powerful attacks fell toward him, he would evade it with Void Spell, reappearing dozens of meters away before launching another attack.
Even so, the fierce battle and immense expenditure had left his complexion
