But you saw what happened just now—the stupid giant rat we killed ran wildly through the place and triggered who knew how many traps. If we enter rashly, we might suffer enormous losses before obtaining anything valuable. So, I think this exploration should end here. What do you think?"
Giving up on further exploration because the depths of the ruins were too dangerous? That was probably only one reason... The other was likely that they had already obtained what they wanted, making further exploration meaningless... Richard's thoughts turned, but he did not expose it.
