In the faint smell of blood, under countless watchful eyes, Richard slowly descended from the sky and returned to the raised Wooden Stage.
Looking at the brutal scene not far ahead, he fell into thought.
The first thing he considered was whether the effect of his use of "Extraordinary Cohesion" had met his expectations—it had successfully and swiftly dealt with a large number of Magic-armored Knights.
A Magic-armored Knight with its magic rune abilities fully activated was, to a Wizard, much like an iron hedgehog. They were difficult to kill, yet could not be ignored, because a sizeable force of Magic-armored Knights possessed utterly formidable offensive power.
Just imagine what it would feel like to be surrounded by dozens, hundreds, even several hundred rapidly mobile iron hedgehogs.
Thus, ever since Magic-armored Knights appeared, how Wizards could deal with them had always been a difficult problem. Either they relied on overwhelming strength, took risks to break through the Magic-armored Knights' defenses, and killed them by force, or they slowly wore them down until they could no longer maintain their magic rune abilities before harvesting their lives.
Now, lifting Magic-armored Knights into the air counted as a third method. Height could dismantle their defenses, while gravity could inflict enough damage to kill them.
Because they wore magic rune armor, Magic-armored Knights were astonishingly heavy. Moreover, aside from a very small number who possessed short-range leaping abilities, most could only fight on land. As such, once a Magic-armored Knight was "lifted" into the sky, it was essentially a death sentence.
That said, this method was difficult to popularize.
After all, repeating it required an enormous supply of energy. If not for the four Energy Furnaces at work, Richard's own energy reserves could at most have sent a small handful of Magic-armored Knights into
