Bi Bi held a piece of bread and reached toward a jar of herring juice.
Outside the dining room.
A concealed figure silently leaped over the courtyard wall of Richard's temporary residence and entered the estate.
An unlucky servant happened to be passing by. The intruder flicked a hand, and a streak of gray light shot out, striking the servant squarely in the neck.
Thud!
The servant collapsed without any ability to resist, his fate unknown.
The intruder walked up to the servant and gave him a brief inspection to make sure he was not pretending. Then he dragged the servant into a nearby corner and concealed him. After looking around and confirming that no one had noticed, he hurried deeper into the estate.
In the dining room.
Bi Bi had already dipped her bread into the jar, just about to soak it in herring juice and enjoy herself.
Suddenly sensing something, she pulled out the bread, frowned, and ran to the dining room window to look outside.
As she watched, Bi Bi's eyes gradually widened, and her expression slowly turned surprised. After a moment, she withdrew her gaze and looked at the bread in her hand, then at the jar of herring juice on the table, and finally out the window again, looking somewhat hesitant.
Through the triggered invisible Warning Spell, Bi Bi had noticed that someone had broken in. As she had promised Richard, she needed to do everything she could to stop them from disturbing him.
But that raised a question: should she finish this feast before taking action? Or should she finish this feast before taking action?
After hesitating for several seconds, Bi Bi figured something out: if she did not eat the feast now, she might only lose one meal.
