Richard flipped his hand, taking out the True God's pet and messenger—the Golden Parrot—that he had previously stored in a Space Item.
Grabbing the Golden Parrot by the head and pointing it forward, Richard asked, "Is this where the True God behind you resides?"
The parrot froze for several seconds before registering its current surroundings. Then it shrieked, "That's right, that's right. Up ahead is the True God's residence. As long as you walk closer and open that door, you'll be able to see him. B-but, blasphemer, I advise you not to open it without permission. Unless you have the True God's approval—but you destroyed the trial the True God set for you, so..."
"Enough." Unable to bear the Golden Parrot's endless chatter, Richard interrupted it. "I know I destroyed the trial the True God set for me, and it will be difficult to obtain his approval. How about you go speak to him for me? That way, you can return to your True God's side as well."
"Don't..." The Golden Parrot immediately shrieked in objection after hearing Richard's words.
But it only had time to cry out once before Richard threw it. Bound by force, it flew toward the Giant Door, the distance steadily shrinking.
Fifty meters, thirty meters, ten meters.
Nine meters, five meters, one meter.
Just as it was about to slam into the Giant Door, there was a crack. A seam suddenly opened between the two massive doors, and a thread of white light shone out from within, landing on the Golden Parrot.
The instant the light struck it, Richard felt the force attached to the Golden Parrot collapse at once. The Golden Parrot let out a shriek, as though it had encountered its natural enemy, and desperately flapped its wings in an attempt to escape.
