After sighing, Richard held Gao Ge's corpse in one hand and pressed the other against his head, beginning to search his memories.
A few seconds later, Richard withdrew his hand, a thoughtful expression appearing on his face. He muttered softly, "So he took precautions in advance after all—the memories have all been completely wiped clean. There's no way to obtain any useful information, much less the coordinates of the Space Jump Point..."
He was not particularly surprised by this.
Before killing Gao Ge, he had already guessed this might happen. He had searched the memories merely to try his luck. Finding something would have been a pleasant surprise, but finding nothing was no great loss.
By his estimate, the Space Jump Point had to be somewhere in Heaven. If he could not get its location from Gao Ge, then he would search for it himself, slowly.
At worst, he would turn all of Heaven upside down. He refused to believe he would not find it.
Taking a deep breath, Richard looked around, preparing to pick a direction and begin searching. Then, on a small hill within his field of vision, he spotted an unexpected figure and paused slightly.
The next moment, he took one step forward, ignoring the distance of several thousand meters, and arrived at the hill, standing before the unexpected figure.
The unexpected figure was none other than the bald Silver Priest, Shalier.
After inviting Richard into Gao Ge's palace earlier, Shalier had waited outside the palace gates. When Richard and Gao Ge began fighting and the entire palace was destroyed, Shalier had vanished as well.
Richard had assumed that either Shalier had been caught in the aftermath of the battle and died, or he had fled early after realizing the situation was bad.
Emotionally, Richard leaned toward
