"Gulp!"

Inside a room at the camp, Lich Old Man A Fu drained every drop of Sweet Tea from his cup in one gulp, a satisfied expression appearing on his face. Then he refilled it with water, added sugar cubes and honey, and prepared to continue savoring it.

Just then, shouts rose from outside the room, as if someone were calling for him.

"My lord, my lord..."

Those sound like the two from earlier. Lich Old Man raised an eyebrow, recognizing Didak and Bo Fei's voices. Without hesitation, he quickly walked out.

Once outside, Lich Old Man saw Didak and Bo Fei carrying a sack toward him. Something alive seemed to be inside it, struggling nonstop with muffled thumping sounds.

Lich Old Man A Fu's mouth fell slightly open. Silently, he raised his assessment of Didak and Bo Fei by a great deal.

He had originally thought the two had invited his "companion" over. He had not expected them to have captured it directly—and stuffed it in a sack, no less.

This world seemed much crazier than the one he had lived in before. At the very least, people in his former world rarely dared do something like this.

Lich Old Man A Fu stepped forward to meet them and watched as Didak and Bo Fei set down the sack.

Didak pointed at it and said, "My lord, the... um, companion you wanted is inside. We guarantee it meets your requirements. It's golden, young, lively, and most importantly, gentle. We brought it all the way from those bushes, and it didn't make a sound once."

"Bushes? Didn't make a sound?" Hearing Didak's words, Lich Old Man suddenly felt that something was wrong. He hurriedly crouched down and opened the sack. The next moment, an enormous dog's head poked out.
