"You mean my Magic Puppets are inferior to your Metal Clunkers?" Lich Old Man A Fu felt somewhat offended, his brows rising.

Richard spread his hands. "Aren't they? In terms of raw durability alone, they fall short. Bone simply isn't as hard as steel."

"I don't deny that. Bone truly isn't as hard as steel, but in every other respect, our Magic Puppets are far more useful than your Metal Clunkers. At the very least, they can understand what I say."

"I don't deny that either," Richard said. "Magic Puppets are indeed more flexible in practical applications and possess a certain degree of intelligence. In fact, I think they would be even better with some modifications."

"Modifications?"

"Yes, modifications." Richard nodded. "In my view, the bones used as Spellcasting Materials in your current White Bone Skeleton are merely a medium for storing and transmitting energy. They are like channels that allow spell effects to be cast smoothly.

They can serve many purposes, but they are best suited for storing and transmitting energy. Using them for structural support or even combat is far too wasteful.

It's like how a person would never use their own heart as a projectile to attack an enemy, nor use the blood vessels in their body as ropes to try to strangle one.

We can modify this kind of White Bone Skeleton so that its bones serve purely as energy channels, like a wizard's source of magic, then use metal as a strong supporting framework and specialized iron armor
