Arc 5Richard’s Magical Experiments

Richard investigated the Iron Ring, explored the nature of magic, and gathered materials to test his theories about Wandering Energy Elements. His experiments suggested a direct path to spellcasting that might lead him toward becoming an Apocalypse Wizard.

Arc 6The Exemption Certificates

Richard investigated Hua Er’s death while Gelo pursued a place at White Stone Tower and fought to buy an Exemption Certificate. Richard later revealed he had more certificates and helped Gelo board the ship, where Gelo confronted Pompe Morton over a suspected theft.

  • Richard tested his new Flame Barrage and Meteor Flame Burst, then learned from Gelo that a White Stone Tower wizard had arrived in Emerald Gold City.
  • At Hua Er’s talent test, Richard concealed his abilities and was declared talentless, while Gelo received an extremely low-grade result and Anthony Myers qualified to join White Stone Tower.

Richard survived the pirates’ attack, discovered a potion that sharpened his reactions, and continued developing his magical abilities. As the ship entered a storm, Dempsey declared the approaching Sirens the next test.

  • Pandora stopped Gelo and Morton’s fight, and Martin Luther King punished Morton before the ship sailed toward the giant vessel.
  • Richard and the other students faced a pirate assault after the Wizards disappeared, and Richard fought while hiding the extent of his abilities.

Richard and the students survived the Siren tests and a battle with an Ancient Giant Squid, while Richard secretly recovered a mysterious Drift Bottle from its tentacle. A series of murders led the Black-Robed Man to confront the White Stone Tower Wizards, and after killing three of them, he met Richard and revealed his face.

  • Richard and the students fought off ordinary and Elite Sirens, then watched Dempsey kill the Siren Leader and declare the test over.
  • A Giant Squid attacked the ship, and the Wizards drove it off, and Richard secretly took a glass Drift Bottle from its severed tentacle.
  • Richard discovered the bottle's strange patterns and hallucinogenic seal, while a Black-Robed Man appeared near the wounded squid and vowed revenge on the White Stone Tower.
