Richard used the Flame Python’s remains to unlock a Wizard Book and applied scientific experiments to the stages of becoming a wizard. After creating a Mana Source and learning his first spell, he faced his father’s decision about the succession while William quietly set a plan in motion.

• Richard exposed the supposed wizard as a fraud, tracked down a Flame Python, and had it killed with an explosive before ordering its body taken to Blue Lion City.
• Richard extracted a golden liquid from the python’s skin and used it to open a Wizard Book, whose Book Spirit fell silent after Richard challenged it with questions about pi.
• Richard studied the Chapter of Munro, learned that wizardry required three stages of life reshaping, and experimented with Ether to achieve Astral Projection.
• Richard’s astral form explored the palace and absorbed energy from the stars, but he could not store it without a Mana Source.

After fleeing the Blue Lion Kingdom, Richard settled at the Black Castle with Pandora and studied magic while uncovering the cause of the monthly beast tides. The arc left him back in his body after escaping the Crystal Skull’s mental attack, badly injured by the ordeal.

• After King Donas died, Richard rejected William’s betrayal and killed Edward when Edward attacked him, then confronted William and escaped the palace on Gregory’s back as a dragon.
• Gregory carried Richard to the Black Castle, where Richard met Pandora and began studying the world, spells, and magic runes.
• Richard discovered that Pandora could speak and learned that the forest became dangerous at night, then resisted mental waves that drove animals into a violent beast tide.
• Richard and Pandora fought the attacking animals through the night, and Richard used spells and a liquid oxygen blast while Gregory’s fire eventually ended the first battle.
• Richard dissected a magical Silver Rabbit, made spell items from its organs, and continued researching as a month passed.
• During the next beast tide, Richard projected his consciousness toward the nearby mountain and found its surface covered with blood and corpses.
• Richard discovered an artificial chamber and a Crystal Skull, resisted its mental force, and escaped its attack, but returned to his body bleeding and in severe pain.

Richard investigated the Crystal Skull, survived an assassination attempt on Prince Gelo, and helped the prince’s camp defeat a much larger force. After retrieving the Skull and studying its effects, Richard prepared to leave, while Pandora dreaded being left behind.

• Richard left the castle with Pandora to investigate the Crystal Skull and discovered that its influence might affect animals and a Wizard’s mental power.
• Richard met Prince Gelo’s hunting party, frightened away a wild boar, and accepted Gelo’s invitation to dinner in hopes of securing iron for his excavation.
• After Gelo was stabbed, Richard treated his wound, arranged a blood transfusion using Bill Caesar’s blood, and helped expose Earl Vik as the assassin.
• Richard forced Earl Vik to reveal that a large enemy force was coming, then agreed to help Gelo in exchange for shared payment and materials.
• Richard prepared the camp’s defenses and used explosives and precise crossbow shots to break the attack and drive the surviving enemy soldiers away.
• Richard advised Gelo to seek safety with Lanster, then returned to the mountain and blasted his way into the hidden chamber to seize the Crystal Skull.
• Richard studied the Skull’s mental effects and gave Pandora a triangular prism, while Pandora grew sad at the thought of his eventual departure.
• Richard told Pandora he was leaving the next day, and she asked him not to go before turning away and entering the castle.

Richard and Pandora escaped the Mysterious Wizard after Gregory’s death, then continued toward the Royal Capital. At an inn, Richard fought off a gang’s schemes and unlocked the Iron Ring, discovering how its hidden space worked.

• Richard decided to leave the Blue Lion Kingdom, but Gregory arrived at the castle and flew him and Pandora to safety as a Wizard pursued them.
• Richard returned to investigate and found Gregory’s destroyed castle and remains, then lured the Mysterious Wizard through traps and buried him in a collapsing mountain passage.
• After confirming the Wizard had died, Richard buried Gregory and left with Pandora, while Prince Gelo wondered about the meaning of life and recalled a young Wizard he had seen.
• At Oak Inn, Dan Ni Si and Ke Er tried to con Richard, but Richard beat Zake and Pandora easily defeated Ke Er when he attacked her.
• Richard examined the Mysterious Wizard’s Iron Ring, altered its magic patterns, and activated its hidden space, which held the Wizard’s belongings.
• Richard tested the ring with objects and animals, finding that time and gravity operated inside but that its vacuum interior could suffocate living creatures.
