Background / History

The Cultivation World’s distant past is obscured even to its oldest inhabitants. Its known history reaches back to the era when seven Great Emperors founded the Seven Great Holy Lands, while earlier origins are poorly preserved. The world’s damaged Heavenly Dao prevented the birth of Great Emperors for millions of years. Later revelations identify it as the “lost” Earth: a world that was shattered, pieced back together, and left fundamentally weakened. 772 857

For much of its history, the world was defined by sectarian power, resource competition, and the principle that strength determined one’s security. The Seven Great Holy Lands stood among its dominant powers, while Life Forbidden Zones preserved ancient experts who periodically sustained themselves through Dark Turmoils—catastrophes involving mass slaughter across the world. 374 738

Its decline reversed after the return of Foundations of Heavenly Dao. The world’s barrier, landmass, Spiritual Energy, cultivation environment, and inhabitants all improved rapidly. World Ascension allowed the Cultivation World to rise through the Myriad Realms by challenging other worlds. Victory brought territory, resources, stronger environmental conditions, and further growth; failure risked displacement or destruction. 835

Netherworld Invasion

When the Netherworld invaded the Yang Realm, it bypassed the Nine Heavenly Palaces and struck the Cultivation World first, as the strongest world beneath them.
