Yuko straightened abruptly and cleared her throat, looking the very picture of righteous resolve.
"Actually, now that I think about it, as a special adviser to the Female Shinigami Association, it's my duty to help the organization through its troubles," Yuko declared. "Besides, if everyone likes me that much, I can't let the members down."
Yuko nodded firmly. "Yes, that's it."
She wasn't greedy. She was doing this for the organization.
"Are you sure this is all right?" Retsu Unohana suddenly looked apologetic. "Now that I think about it, this is rather unfair to Yuko. Perhaps we should forget it?"
Veins stood out on the back of Yuko's hand as she held her teacup. Her smile didn't reach her eyes. "Sister Hana, that's a dirty move."

Retsu Unohana covered her mouth with a soft laugh and fixed Yuko with a sharp gaze. "My, weren't you the one who thought I'd gone too far?"

Yuko lowered her head, her shoulders trembling with anger. Just as Retsu Unohana thought she was about to explode, Yuko planted both hands on the table, shot to her feet, and walked behind her without a word.
"Dear sister, I was wrong just now. I spoke too harshly. Please help your little sister rake in a fortune!"
Yuko kneaded Retsu Unohana's shoulders with a fawning smile.
As the saying went, dignity was precious and principles worth even more—but for money, she could throw both away.
