Sage Mode!

After a long while, the dazed Toad Sage woke up.

"Little Jiraiya, come here for a moment."

Jiraiya's heart sank. Damn, he didn't forget.

"It shouldn't have been you who summoned me. You don't have that ability. Who was that person?"

Jiraiya said through gritted teeth, "You could barely count him as my student. I only taught him Summoning Jutsu today."

The Great Toad Sage became interested when he heard this.

"What kind of student did Little Jiraiya take this time?"

"His name is Uchiha Eiji. He's not even twelve years old, has mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique, defeated Orochimaru, and possesses a Three Tomoe Sharingan. That's about it."

After hearing him out, the Toad Sage did not give an immediate response.

Instead, he closed his eyes again. Jiraiya could even hear him snoring.

Several hours later, the Toad Sage opened his eyes.

"In my dreams, I did not see this child. Jiraiya, he may not be the Child of Prophecy you are looking for."

"However, this child does possess a righteous heart."

Jiraiya was extremely dejected.

That was how fate worked. It gave him a little hope, only to disappoint him again.

"I understand."

Jiraiya was utterly confused. The so-called Child of Prophecy often appeared around him, yet he still had no idea who it actually was.

How frustrating.

Fortunately, Jiraiya was broad-minded. After chatting with a few familiar toads for a while, he felt much better. "I'll be leaving first."

"Little Jiraiya, under no circumstances can you let that brat use Summoning Jutsu again!"

"Rest assured, Seniors. I'll warn him."

Jiraiya found Eiji again.

Naruto had already gone back to rest. Apparently, the Great Toad had scared him half to death.

Eiji, meanwhile, had ordered a bowl of ramen and was noisily slurping it down.

"I went to Mount Myōboku just now. Fortunately, it seems the Toad Sage isn't angry."

"But the other sages told me that I absolutely must not let you use Summoning Jutsu again."

Eiji gave a perfunctory response. "Got it. That Toad Sage looks like he can't fight anyway. If I summon him, I'll have to take care of him."

Although Eiji's words were disrespectful to the Toad Sage, compared with what had happened earlier, this was nothing.

Jiraiya also ordered a bowl of ramen and sat down beside Eiji.

"At first, I thought you were just an ordinary brat. Looks like I underestimated you. And give me another bottle of sake."

"Sit, sit. Come sit beside me."

Before Jiraiya could make a move, the door was slammed open with a bang.

"The Security Division is handling a case! Everyone, clear out!"

Once Jiraiya saw who had come, he was so furious that he nearly ground his teeth to pieces.

"Uchiha Eiji, are you sick in the head?! We're both adults!"

Eiji paid no attention to him and drove all the pretty young ladies out.

He sat directly across from Jiraiya. "What happened to teaching me ninjutsu, Lord Jiraiya?"

Jiraiya was incredibly annoyed. How could he possibly dare teach Eiji ninjutsu now?

The last time, he had summoned the Great Toad. Would he summon all of Mount Myōboku next time and hurl it at the enemy?

Jiraiya leaned shamelessly against the back of the sofa. "Eiji, there's nothing I can teach you. Old Man was worried you might go astray, but the Toad Sage said you have a righteous heart."

Unexpectedly, Eiji merely chuckled. "Lord Jiraiya, can you teach me to use the legendary Sage Mode?"

"Sage Mode?" Jiraiya considered it for a moment. "Even I can't completely master this state. Are you sure you want to learn it?"

Eiji nodded vigorously. Of course Sage Mode was good. He had to learn it.

Although he had gained some fame in the village, if he really went to the battlefield, those cheat-level monsters would blow him away in minutes.

Not to mention the aliens.

As for whether it was difficult to learn?

"All right. Follow me."

Jiraiya brought Eiji to Mount Myōboku and apologized to all the toads once again.

The two sages, Shima and Fukasaku, circled Eiji again and again, racking their brains in confusion.

Later, the Toad Sage summoned Eiji before him.

"Hmm, I remember you. You're the one who sat on my head."

"Terribly sorry, Toad Sage. Eiji didn't do it on purpose, right?"

Eiji seriously said, "I really don't know why it happened either. I only wanted to ask the toads of Mount Myōboku for help."

The Toad Sage had lived for more than a thousand years, and he was not so narrow-minded.

"Forget it. There's no harm in occasionally taking a look at the outside world."

When the Toad Sage heard that Jiraiya wanted to teach Eiji Sage Mode, he did not object.

He was even somewhat curious whether this White-Haired Kid could surpass the Little Blondie from back then.

With the Toad Sage's permission, Fukasaku and Shima immediately began the lesson.

He closed his eyes, and an earth-shaking aura erupted from him!

In an instant, it blasted the two sages in front of him away!

Next, a trace of golden eyeshadow appeared on Eiji's face.
