History

Naruto grew up isolated as Konoha's Nine-Tails Jinchūriki. He dreamed of becoming Hokage and longed for friends, while many villagers avoided or mistreated him. His first meaningful connection with Uchiha Eiji began when Eiji bought him a bowl of ramen with triple chashu and no bamboo shoots. 4 5

Eiji became Naruto's mentor and one of the few adults Naruto trusted. Their early time together revolved around fishing, meals, and basic ninja training; Eiji replaced Naruto's broken fishing rod, taught him chakra control, and later agreed to teach him ninjutsu. 9 13 18 20 Naruto defended Eiji against Kakashi's suspicions and openly regarded him as a good person. 18
