Organization and Responsibilities

• Command: Marshal Chen Yuan is the war zone’s commander-in-chief 392. Viya reports a force including 2,300 colonels, 34 lieutenant generals, and 12 generals 378.
• Area of responsibility: The zone suppresses Wilderness Areas No. 2–5 and cave areas No. 2–5. It faces staffing pressure as activity increases in Areas No. 3 and No. 4 363 378.
• Standing: Viya places it second in martial-artist strength among Great Xia’s five war zones, behind the Eastern War Zone; rankings are determined by the military-region competition 378.
• Foreign liaison: The Central War Zone handles contact with foreign countries, giving it early access to intelligence about India Country’s planned exchanges 431.

Facilities and Personnel

• Military district: The zone contains barracks alongside hospitals, schools, shops, and residential areas. Its inner camp admits officers of colonel rank or above and has advanced cultivation equipment 378.
• Family accommodation: Officers of colonel rank or above may station their families in the war zone, where Wang Qiang considers them safer than in ordinary cities facing beast tides 379.
• Mission Hall: Officers can view missions and restricted intelligence through access-controlled terminals; completed-mission rewards are also collected there 387 431.
• Supply depot: Its material-exchange facility uses selection terminals connected to an underground warehouse. The depot is temporarily responsible for the Great Xia Military Department’s Nine Heavens Airship 434 435 437.

Story Role

• Li Ziyu’s arrival: After the Phoenix incident in Wilderness Area No. 2, Li Ziyu visits the Central War Zone for maps and resources. He subsequently earns Twelve-star General certification and joins its ranks 375 378 383.
• Cave No. 4 dispute: Wang Hongyu and Wang Mei attempt to enforce a restricted-area order, but Long Zhan leads Extreme Path Martial Arts Hall members past their defense line 402.
• Han Que mission: Li Ziyu returns to the zone to report completion of the SSS-rank mission against Han Que and claim its reward 429 431.
• Military-region competition: The zone enters the five-war-zone competition with Li Ziyu among its Twelve-star generals. Its personnel hope he can end its run of second-place finishes behind the Eastern War Zone 437 464 465.
• Alien invasion: Chen Yuan participates in Great Xia’s emergency command response when an extraterrestrial threat reaches Blue Star 544.
