Background and History

Yanhuang Legacy

Great Xia is presented as the successor to the Yanhuang Empire, an ancient human civilization that unified the planet roughly 15,000 years ago. Yanhuang defeated Chi You, united sixteen kingdoms, industrialized, and later established global rule under a single empire. 208 209

The Yanhuang Empire built 108 underground bases before its war against fierce beasts; only one known base survived in usable condition. Its remaining artificial intelligence granted Li Ziyu access after identifying the Four Fundamental Force Techniques as standard Yanhuang citizen cultivation methods. 208

Society

Great Xia is a martial-focused society in which Martial Artists occupy the top of the social hierarchy. Its leading martial arts universities are treated as sacred institutions and major public attractions. 60

Major Crises

World Resonance

Great Xia has records of three prior World Resonances, which brought fierce beasts and unintelligible alien invaders to Blue Star. The Fourth World Resonance is expected to bring a far more dangerous civilization. 348 475

The Yanhuang Empire's Star of Hope predicted with 99.9% accuracy that Great Xia would fail to survive the Fourth World Resonance in one projected future. Li Ziyu has acted to alter that outcome after learning the prediction. 330 377

Internal Conflict

The Extreme Path Martial Saint's betrayal destabilized Great Xia's balance between the military and major martial arts halls. In Wilderness Area No. 1, the Martial Saint attempted to use fierce beasts and cave forces against humanity. 478 475

Li Ziyu ultimately killed the Extreme Path Martial Saint, prompting King-level and stronger demon beasts to enter hibernation rather than risk provoking Great Xia. The Military Department used the victory to bolster national morale and shift toward an offensive posture against fierce beasts. 486

Extraterrestrial Invasion

Great Xia's emergency command center was activated after the arrival of the alien known as Red Robe, an entity assessed at Level Ten or higher and considered capable of destroying the nation within a day. 544
