Sacrificing an Entire Village

Steve, his clothes in tatters and his body scorched black in several places, climbed to his feet and pointed his staff at Douglas.

"Die!"

Three Magic Arrays appeared in layers. After being amplified, a blazing pillar of fire erupted and swallowed Douglas.

"I won't let you die so easily. I'll torture you mercilessly!"

"Is that so? That's assuming you can do it!"

The flames faded, revealing Douglas completely unharmed.

A Light Barrier enveloped him, perfectly blocking the fire pillar's attack and making Steve's expression turn extremely ugly!

"Steve, since you were lucky enough to escape disaster, you should have tucked your tail between your legs and lived quietly. Did you really think learning a few tricks would let you deal with me? How naive."

"Steve, why struggle so painfully to stay alive? Kathy is all alone in Hell. She desperately wants you to go down and keep her company!"

"Come on, Steve. Give up resisting and go be with your beloved!"

As Douglas spoke, his Scepter emitted a gentle glow, bewitching Steve's mind.

Steve became dazed and confused. He actually raised his staff and was about to stab himself with it.

"Hypnosis Magic?"

Yun Feiyang slammed a fist against the barrier. The tremendous bang jolted Steve awake!

"Douglas!"

"Too late! Die!"

A Light Shockwave struck Steve, blasting him into the barrier again.

The old bastard's Scepter was quite high-grade!

"Steve, how does that feel? Back then, I bewitched Kathy the same way, making her obediently take off her clothes in front of me and letting me do whatever I wanted. She even cooperated eagerly! Hahaha..."

"You have no idea how slutty she was. If that idiot Adeline hadn't let her escape, I would've played with her for a while longer!"

Mira said furiously, "Steve deserves to die, but Douglas deserves it even more. You absolutely can't let him go!"

Steve drove his staff into the ground, and a crimson Magic Array spread outward.

The Magic Array made Douglas extremely uncomfortable. The Scepter in his hand launched another attack, but the moment the shockwave approached, it was neutralized by the Magic Array.

Yun Feiyang raised a hand and sent a whirlwind through the roof. Everyone immediately saw a gigantic Magic Array operating in the sky. It looked bloody and ominous, exactly like the one beneath Steve's feet!

Not only that, a barrier had sealed off the entire village!

"Oh? You noticed? But it's too late. All the conditions have been fulfilled. No one can stop it now!"

"Steve, have you gone insane? Those are the lives of everyone in the village!"

Steve said coldly, "So what? Everyone here deserves to die!"

"Because of Kathy?"

"That's right. They shouldn't have seen Kathy's body. They shouldn't have pointed fingers at her. They don't deserve to!"

He hadn't noticed before, but Yun Feiyang now spotted an emblem on Steve.

Steve lowered his head to glance at the emblem and said indifferently, "So you found out?"

Yun Feiyang mocked, "Trash like you wants to conquer the continent? Keep dreaming!"

As the Magic Array in the sky continued to operate, everyone in the village clutched their heads and wailed in agony. Even Mira and the others were no exception!

Unwilling to give up, Douglas continued bombarding the Magic Array, but he could do nothing to it and could not harm Steve in the slightest!

Mira grabbed Yun Feiyang painfully. "What do we do? Think of something!"

"Right away!"

With the village still in his grasp, Yun Feiyang sneered. "I may not be able to do anything to a Rune Barrier, but the strength of a Magic Array depends on its Formation Master's cultivation. As long as one is strong enough, it can be shattered by brute force. Don't you know that?"
