Background

Ye Zifeng grew up in an orphanage and carried a deep fear of abandonment after learning that his biological mother had left him. His biological father, however, had cared deeply for him; this unresolved past became the core of Ye Zifeng's inner-demon trial. Li Changsheng reassured him that his future could be changed and that his new family would not abandon him. 10 11

By the time Forget Worries Pavilion opened in Tian Dou City, Ye Zifeng worked alongside Ye Hanxue and Ye Han Yue, receiving clients who sought fortune readings and treatment. He and Ye Hanxue had initially possessed comparatively weak Soul Ring foundations, but both gained cultivation resources and inheritances in divination and medicine from their master. 7

Mo Changyu later tested the three siblings' coordination and offered Ye Zifeng the complete Wind's Aftermath Gate only if he could confront his past. Ye Zifeng initially hesitated, then entered a spiritual trial centered on his inner demons. 10 11
