|---|---|---|
| 0 Attribute Points | 2 | The System first displays a balance of zero and explains that points can only improve Martial Arts. |
| 1 Attribute Point | 3 | Lin Yuan obtains a point after learning Yang Style Tai Chi’s forms and spends it to raise the art from Not Yet Initiated to Initiated. |
| 2 Attribute Points | 3 | An all-night Tai Chi session grants two points, immediately spent to advance Yang Style Tai Chi again. |
| 1 Attribute Point | 4 | Practice with Wu Zihan produces a point, which upgrades Wu Style Tai Chi to Initiated and activates Martial Arts Deduction. |
| 5 Attribute Points | 15 | After recovering from overtraining, Lin Yuan holds five points and uses them to establish the remaining Tai Chi styles and Hun Yuan Zhuang. |
| 13.5 Attribute Points | 16 | Weighted running into the city grants one additional point, bringing the recorded balance to 13.5. |
| +4 Attribute Points | 50 | Entering a profound state while practicing Tai Chi grants four points in roughly an hour, matching his former maximum daily gain. |
| +2 Attribute Points in three hours | 118 | High-intensity training supported by Qi produces two points; Lin Yuan estimates that three such sessions could theoretically yield six daily points. |
| +35 Attribute Points in seven days | 133 | Sustained training produces an average of roughly five points per day. |
| 113.5 Attribute Points | 136 | Lin Yuan accumulates enough points to pay the 20-point deduction cost for Zhang Sanfeng’s Thirteen Forms of Tai Chi. |
| 862.5 Attribute Points | 371 | Seven months of near-limit daily cultivation yields 854 points, added to an existing balance of 8.5. |
Background / History
Attribute Points first appear on Lin Yuan’s System panel when it binds to him. The System identifies deep training as their source and states that they cannot be used on anything except Martial Arts. 2
Lin Yuan’s first uses establish their central role in his growth: he spends points to accelerate Yang Style Tai Chi and Wu Style Tai Chi after obtaining them through practice. Acquiring multiple martial arts then activates the System’s Martial Arts Deduction function. 3 4
As Lin Yuan’s cultivation develops, Attribute Points become the resource used for large-scale martial-art upgrades, deductions, and preparation for lightning tribulations. Their value rises as martial arts become more expensive to advance and certain high-level techniques require materials or comprehension in addition to points. 136 301 374
Mechanics
Acquisition
- Attribute Points are earned through deep training, rather than through ordinary activity alone. 2 11
- Repeating the same run does not necessarily produce points; Lin Yuan finds martial-arts practice to be the more reliable source. 11
- Before acquiring Qi-based cultivation, Lin Yuan determines that his sustainable limit is approximately three points per day, provided he uses medicinal baths and medicinal liquor for recovery. 16
- As Lin Yuan’s physique improves, the intensity required to qualify as deep training also increases; improved physical fitness does not automatically raise the daily threshold. 16
- Qi-assisted high-intensity practice later raises his practical daily limit to approximately four points. 108
- Deep-sea and survival training can accelerate gains, though such methods consume Qi heavily. 118 336
Martial Arts Enhancement
| Upgrade rule | Documented effect |
|---|---|
| Exclusive function | Attribute Points can only improve Martial Arts; they cannot be assigned directly to physical attributes. 2 |
| Blue-grade initial advancement | Raising a Blue-grade martial art from Not Yet Initiated to Initiated costs 1 point. 3 4 28 |
| Blue-grade doubling pattern | Lin Yuan identifies a binary cost progression: 2 points for the next advancement, then 4, 8, and 16 points for subsequent stages. 15 43 |
| Purple-grade efficiency | Hun Yuan Zhuang initially costs half as many points as a Blue-grade martial art at the corresponding advancement. 15 |
| Physical refinement | Martial-art upgrades strengthen the body according to each art’s focus; Tai Chi emphasizes agility, endurance, and flexibility, while Arhat Fist emphasizes strength and speed. 3 28 40 |
| Qi consumption | After Qi appears on the System panel, some martial-art upgrades also consume Qi. 69 108 138 |
| Additional conditions | Sufficient Attribute Points alone may not be enough for certain upgrades; some techniques require specific materials, bloodlines, or preliminary comprehension. 301 336 374 |
Martial Arts Deduction
- The System activates Martial Arts Deduction after detecting that Lin Yuan possesses two or more martial arts. 4
- Deduction can combine related martial arts into a higher technique, such as deducing Zhang Sanfeng’s Thirteen Forms of Tai Chi from five perfected Tai Chi styles. 136
- Deductions may cost 20 Attribute Points even after all prerequisite martial arts are fulfilled. 136 374 383
- Successfully deduced martial arts can grant a corresponding Martial Arts Profundity immediately, unlike ordinary techniques that may only manifest one at Perfection. 383
- The System later identifies deduction paths involving Hun Yuan Zhuang, the Jiuli clan’s nine martial arts, several sword formations, and other compatible techniques. 193 375 399
Relationships
- Lin Yuan — Primary host and user; earns Attribute Points through deep training and spends them on martial-art advancement and deduction. 2 3 136
- The System — Displays the current Attribute Point balance, regulates their use, calculates upgrade costs, and issues deduction prompts. 2 15 136
Notable Facts
- Attribute Point balances may include fractions, including 0.5, 1.5, 10.5, and 13.5. 15 16 40 50
- A martial-art upgrade can provide an immediate combat-critical increase; Lin Yuan spends 28 points to perfect Xing Yi Quan while under pressure from the Golden Armored Man. 138
- Large reserves are not permanent power by themselves: Lin Yuan explicitly regards unspent Attribute Points as mere numbers until converted into cultivation. 141
