Lin Bai and Jiang Xuansu traveled at a brisk pace. After leaving the mountain range, they flew for several hours before finally spotting the traces of a city on the distant plain.
The city was magnificent. Armored soldiers stood atop the walls, gripping blades and spears that gleamed with icy light. Their expressions were solemn, and their sharp gazes were fixed on the distance.
Only when Lin Bai and Jiang Xuansu reached the city gates did they discover that the City Protection Formation had already been activated and the gates had been closed, forbidding anyone from entering or leaving.
"Who goes there?"
Seeing the two of them approach the city, a commander atop the walls shouted coldly.
"We are disciples of the Eternal Devil Sect from the Eternal Thirteen Provinces. We were invited by the Evil Moon Sect to attend the Evil Moon Grand Feast, but for some reason, when we passed through your territory, we were obstructed by your formation.
