Arc 263The Poisoned Cloudships
Lin Bai accepted the Chu imperial family's gifts while trying to secure a way to find his family, then investigated a wave of attacks on departing sects and lineages. As suspicion fell on several factions, Emperor Chu moved to bring those still in Chu territory back to the Imperial Capital.
- Lin Bai named Chu Junyou Crown Prince as Prince Chen’s succession took shape, while the Imperial Ancestors urged Chu Tianxin and Prince Chen to keep Lin Bai in Chu and promised help reaching the Heavenly Realm if he remained loyal.
- After the Hunting Realm losses, Lin Bai accepted the Third Prince’s gifts, including treasures for his sword formation and the Star-Slaying Three Swords, after learning Chu had sent people to search for his family in the Dao Ruins World.
- Lin Bai discovered that the Soul Refinement Sect had captured Leng Xingguang, then saw the Qi Tian Sect and Eternal Devil Sect depart the Imperial Capital with new ties between them.
- The Crown Prince and Third Prince told Lin Bai that attackers had struck Worship Heaven Sect, killing disciples and making Yun Zhou and other leaders vanish, and further attacks left the Overturning Heavens Sect and Seven Absolutes City devastated.
- Lin Bai investigated Dragon Mountain City and learned that the God-Devil Calamity Poison had killed the Little Prince and Seventh Prince, while Xing Si and Jiang Yu raised questions about Carefree Powder and the attackers’ possible identities.
- Lin Bai warned the Crown Prince and Third Prince that Carefree Powder had been used, while the princes considered the Four Gloom Demon Palace and other suspects and ordered interrogations.
- The Eighth Prince explained that the royal ancestors approved of a deadly succession struggle and that Cangsheng, despite being suited to inherit the throne, was waiting for a chance to challenge the current Bailu.
- Emperor Chu ordered the return of sects and lineages still in Chu territory, while Mountain Sea Sect and Southern Border Insect Valley headed back to the Imperial Capital and Western Region dynasties hurried away.
