After surviving the Blood Temple and defeating Sang Shuo inside a vast coffin, Lin Bai approached the final gate, which would admit only one martial artist.

• Lin Bai killed all thirteen Spirit Sons, cultivated to the Heaven Core Realm, and traveled to Blood Mountain, where he obtained an Ascension Token and entered the trials on Void Island.
• Lin Bai and Hua Yuxian reached the Golden Ancient City, where Lin Bai collected most of the Pass Tokens and entered the second trial.
• Lin Bai devoured the Infernal Earth, heavenly lightning, and the power of the Mountain of Formations and the fifth trial’s weapons to advance through the gates.

Lin Bai survived the ninth trial, learned of the Blood Demons beneath Divine Relic Ridge, and took the Ascension Fruits before returning to the Five Peaks. After Ye Jianjun’s men attacked him at the Holy Son’s Mansion, powerful allies intervened, but the authorities still declared Lin Bai and Jian Ruohan guilty of a capital crime.

• Liang Kun and the other contenders attacked Lin Bai at the light gate, but Lin Bai killed Lu Yang and bound the rest with his Restriction Banners.
• Ke Han summoned Ye Jianjun’s avatar, which shattered Lin Bai’s defenses, but Lin Bai activated the Great Barren Art, killed Ke Han, and destroyed the avatar with Sword Heart...One Thought.

• Lin Bai accepted Ye Jianjun’s challenge to a life-or-death duel and asked Dugu Yun to find someone to repair Emperor’s Heart Sword.

Lin Bai entered the Divine Creation Palace, defeated the Divine Alliance, and became the Crimson Immortal Sect’s Sect Master after the other survivors gave up their claims. He chose to claim the palace to quell the Blood Demon Calamity and learned about a treasure that could create a clone.

• Lin Bai entered the Divine Creation Palace with Jian Ruohan and Bai Xiaoxiao, passed its first two trials, and chose Divine Dragon Blood and Li Changshui’s Thatched Hut Rainstorm Painting as rewards.
