• Lin Bai seized the Sword of Impermanence from Chen Qin, claimed its inheritance, and learned from Celestial Hound Zhenren that the Devil Sect was targeting the Myriad Beasts Dynasty.
• Lin Bai reached the devastated Myriad Beasts Dynasty, encountered Hua Yuxian, and reunited with Eastern Continent Academy disciples at Gold Tree City before returning to the academy.
• Bai Xiaoxiao joined the leaders at Order Divine Mountain and argued that the Devil Sect’s attacks served a hidden revenge, prompting Lan Ling to identify Zhao Yue as a possible target from the past.

Lin Bai helped defend Heaven’s Mandate Pass, where he discovered that the Devil Sect Master was Ye Suxin and fought to spare the soul bound to Zhao Yue’s. Zhao Yue was imprisoned and given six months before execution, while Lin Bai set out to find a way to separate their souls.

• Leng Yun rescued Shi Zhongxian from Seven Stars City, and the retreating survivors fell back toward Heaven’s Mandate Pass as the Devil Sect destroyed the first two defenses.
• Lin Bai fought the Devil Sect’s forces, killed several Envoys and Apex Realm experts, and used a temporary Cultivation Seal to battle dozens of enemies before it collapsed.

• Mo Qing promised to search for a way to separate Zhao Yue’s soul from Ye Suxin’s, while Lin Bai visited Zhao Yue in the Dragon Imprisoning Abyss and vowed to save Ye Suxin.
• Lan Ling told Lin Bai that the Water Mirror Sword could separate the fused souls and that he could find it at the Sword God Family in the Northern Continent.
• The Soul-Reaping Thirteen ambushed Lin Bai in the Northern Continent, but he killed most of them and pursued their leader.
• Ban Ye helped Lin Bai reach Blackwater City, where Lin Bai joined the Tang Family as a High-Level Guest Elder and learned he needed 300,000 Merit Points to obtain the Blackwater Divine Lightning Art.

Lin Bai entered the Combat Arena as the Sword Demon, won a string of high-profile matches, and used the Blackwater Divine Lightning Art to defeat formidable opponents. After beating Tang Yuezhi as the Moon Goddess, he returned to cultivate while the Tang Family elders learned her identity.

• Lin Bai adopted the Sword Demon mask, passed his three entry matches by killing Hong Lang and Ghost Messenger and forcing Shen Hua to surrender, then agreed to meet Madam Yang about becoming her Ever-Victorious General.
• Lin Bai accepted Madam Yang’s offer of the Blackwater Divine Lightning Art in stages, cultivated its Lightning Storm Fist, and defeated Rakshasa with a single punch.
