Lin Bai exposed the Demon Race’s plan to weaken Arid Dragon City and persuaded its leaders to seek aid from the Eternal Devil Sect. After the Twenty-Seven Demons launched a citywide assault, Lin Bai rallied the frightened martial artists to defend the city and left the demons regrouping in hiding.

• Lin Bai traced the massacres to a Mirage Demon and persuaded Arid Dragon City’s leaders to resist the Demon Race and send resources to the Eternal Devil Sect.
• Lin Bai warned the Qian Family that it was likely to be attacked, and the city’s forces prepared an ambush for the demons.
• Lin Bai broke the Mirage Demon’s formation over the Qian estate, revealing twenty-seven Dao God demons, but they escaped after battling the defenders.
• The demons attacked all four districts, and Lin Bai warned President Azure Dragon that opening the City Protection Formation could expose the city to an outside invasion.

He rescued Li Yumen from the Bone Race at White Dragon Ridge and escaped as the Eighth Elder and Jiang Xuansu fought the Bone Race Honored Ones.

• Di Lin and the Twenty-Seven Demons trapped Lin Bai at Fuyun Estate and planned to seize Arid Dragon City, but Li Mojun arrived with Eternal Devil Sect reinforcements and the demons retreated.
• Lin Bai returned to the Eternal Devil Sect, where Jiang Xuansu told him Li Yumen had disappeared, and they learned that Wang Qi had abducted him using Infant Frost Sword Qi.
• Lin Bai challenged the Heng Province Alliance to a series of fights, defeated its Dao Realm martial artists including Shangguan Xiu, and secured its promise not to target his friends and family.
• A letter led Lin Bai to White Dragon Ridge, where he found Wang Qi and the Bone Race holding Li Yumen captive, and he treated Li Yumen's wounds.

Lin Bai advanced to the Dao Venerable Realm and joined Qin Pavilion’s expedition into the Asura Battlefield to seek Other Shore Flowers. After surviving the battlefield’s traps and losing many fighters to Human Corpse Fiends, Qin Yuyan sent Lin Bai to negotiate an alliance with the Wang Family.

• Lin Bai treated Li Yumen, advanced to the Dao Venerable Realm with Qin Yuyan’s pills, and agreed to join her expedition to the Asura Battlefield.
• Qin Yuyan led the expedition into the battlefield, and Lin Bai urged the group to take the direct route through the Black Wind Mountains and Bone Sea Swamps.
• A Dire Mountain Nether Tortoise chased the group into the swamps, where Lin Bai guided the survivors around Blood-Drinking Worms and a vast spider’s web.
• At the Asura Sect’s mountain-gate stele, Ying Qiu tried to seize Lin Bai’s body, but Lin Bai destroyed his soul and obtained the Asura Dharma Eyes manual.
• The group entered the Valley of Certain Death, where a Human Corpse Fiend killed several Qin Pavilion martial artists and trapped Lin Bai in an illusion that his Sword Heart broke.
• After more than twenty fighters died, Qin Yuyan chose to seek allies rather than force a passage through the forest.
• Lin Bai and Jiang Xuansu met Wang Qing’s patrol and proposed an alliance, then welcomed an old man from another Wang Family group who supported joining forces.

Lin Bai helped Qin Pavilion secure the Other Shore Flower, then exposed the Heng Province Alliance’s role in unleashing the Flame Spirit and clashed with its leaders. After Murong Chuan emerged and gave Lin Bai an Eternal Trial token, Lin Bai and Jiang Xuansu wagered on whether the Eight Great Noble Families would soon attack the Eternal Devil Sect.

• Lin Bai helped Qin Yuyan’s three merchant associations enter the Valley of Certain Death, find three Other Shore Flowers, and escape an ambush by Wu Chou and Wang Qing with Jiang Xuansu’s aid.
• Lin Bai returned to the Sword Hiding Hermitage, advanced to the Second-Grade Dao Venerable Realm, and received Qin Yuyan’s reward for retrieving the flowers.
• Lin Bai discovered that the Heng Province Alliance had sent Zhu Yuan and others to unseal the Flame Spirit, then captured it in the Azure Gourd before it could reach the Hermitage.
• At Eternal Palace, Lin Bai pressed Li Mojun to punish Vice-Alliance Leader Wu, while Zhu Yuan testified that Wu had ordered the attack and other crimes, and Li Mojun sentenced Wu to ten years at Contemplation Cliff.
