• The Purple-Haired Elder rescued the Purple-haired Youth from Lin Bai, and Lin Bai later admitted he had harbored killing intent while Xie Lan questioned where he learned his flying sword art.
• Yue Chuanming arranged Lin Bai’s departure with Old Wen and Dao Child Yu You, while Old Wen explained that diviners could not fully read Lin Bai’s fate because of the One That Escaped.
• Yue Chuanming brought Lin Bai to the Palace Master and Saint Elders, who revealed the Demon Palace’s remaining inheritances and warned that a major Demon Realm war could begin within three to six months.

Lin Bai traveled through the Devil Realm, uncovered growing opposition to the Four Gloom Demon Palace, and maneuvered to secure Ma Leiyu’s claim to the Pure Yang Sect’s Holy Son position. The Ma Family agreed to cooperate as Lin Bai’s party headed to White Horse City, where the Seven Nights Divine Sect’s survivors had gathered.

• Lin Bai visited the Overturning Heavens Sect, where Meng Qinxian fought him publicly to conceal their friendship while the Sect Master explained the sect had disavowed him under pressure.
• Lin Bai told Meng Qinxian that the Nine Underworlds Demon Palace had forced him to accept the Imperial Son position, then chose to remain there and seek a chance to rescue the captured Holy Son.
• Lin Bai and Old Wen discussed how the Palace’s grand plan had stirred desire and conflict across the Devil Realm, while Lin Bai blamed it for holding the Eastern Region’s martial artists hostage.

There, he learned of the Northern Region’s pressure on the pass and watched its fighters test themselves against the defenders.

• Yi Gu welcomed Lin Bai to White Horse City, where Chu Tinghan and Princess Chenxian reunited with him and Yi Jinse demanded that he be captured.
• Old Wen revealed that Princess Chenxian’s parents had survived, while Lin Bai confirmed that he had become the Nine Underworlds Demon Palace’s Imperial Son.
• Lin Bai learned that Eternal Night Pass had been seized by the Nine Underworlds Demon Palace and announced that he would travel there.
• Yi Jinyi negotiated on behalf of the Seven Nights Divine Sect, and Lin Bai agreed that the palace would stop hunting its survivors in exchange for their promise not to oppose it for ten thousand years.

Lin Bai rescued Yu You, reunited with Bu Junfeng, and joined him in a contest that grew into months of exchanging and refining their arts. After returning to Chu, Lin Bai learned how the Zhao Xing Office had branded him a traitor, leaving him to recognize that the Nine Underworlds Demon Palace had trapped him in its plans.

• Yu You challenged the Northern Region fighters, while Lin Bai defeated a Four Gloom warrior with the Golden Emperor Seal.
• Yu You was badly injured in battle, and Lin Bai carried her back to Eternal Night Pass after killing the Three-Headed Savage Bull Beast with one sword strike.
• Old Wen treated Yu You and explained that she had been allowed to learn only the first move of the Nine Heavenly Might Seals, so Lin Bai obtained the complete manual for her.
