Wong Chi-shing agreed after a moment's hesitation. If it was truly a drug case, detaining the Viper for 24 hours would be standard procedure. As for the material for the stab-proof vests, the police had no shortage of it. Such vests offered significant protection against slashing and stabbing from knives, but had little defensive effect against firearms and other projectile weapons.

Stab-proof vests had never been popular with the Hong Kong Royal Police. They had guns to deal with criminals wielding knives, and bulletproof vests for those with guns. Stab-proof vests were considered too impractical.

Wong Chi-shing, following the main force into the casino, frowned deeply at the scene. He turned to the person beside him and ordered, "Fire warning shots, stop the chaos, collect evidence, investigate the gambling funds, find and apprehend the organizers, and gather the gamblers in one place to prevent any disturbances."

The manager wasn't foolish and understood the principle of "confess and be lenient, resist and be punished." He shook his head like a rattle drum. "Officer, this is all there is. A small casino can't have much money."

Seeing the manager's stubbornness, Wong Chi-shing sneered. "Fine, then I'll search myself. You can look forward to retiring in prison."

"Everyone, tear down everything that could possibly hide something, including the ceiling and toilets. Search thoroughly!"

After a second search, a check holder was found beneath the ceiling, containing over two million in checks. In addition, a large number of controlled knives and a small amount of drugs were discovered. Finally, in a hidden compartment of a drawer, a handgun and 20 rounds of ammunition were found.
