• Zhou Baibai entered the Kunlun Mirror, confronted Patriarch Luo, and joined Zhou Qingqing and the Three Pure Ones in containing the Immeasurable Calamity, which revealed the words “Wukong” and “Great Sage Equaling Heaven.”
• Zhou Qingqing and the Three Pure Ones traced the clue to the stone monkey in Eastern Kunlun, and Zhou Qingqing agreed to become his master while the Three Pure Ones entrusted her with Daoism’s leadership.
• Nether Mosquito defeated the Primordial Five Insects’ Gu influence, attained the Primordial Chaos Dao, and awakened the wounded King Pan in King Pan Valley.
• Zhou Qingqing helped King Pan recover and brought him to Houtu, where they transformed his witchcraft into the Witch Dao and established the Witch Sect.
• The Intelligent Stone Monkey emerged from the Lotus Pond, and Zhou Jinjing accepted Sun Wukong as her disciple, gave him the As-You-Will Gold-Banded Staff, and named him Sun Xingzhe.
• Zhou Jinjing took Sun Wukong to the Ferocious Beast Calamity, where he trained and eventually became king of a troop of monkeys while battling the beasts.
• Zhou Jinjing could not find Shenni, Hongjun, or the other Chaos Demon Gods, and Heavenly Dao Hongjun admitted he had erased their pasts to test whether she could survive the calamity.

Zhou Qingqing changed the Ferocious Beast Calamity, making Sun Wukong its protagonist and defeating the World-Destroying Mill before it could consume the Three Daos. Back in the present, Xuandu and Laozi forged new paths to Primordial Chaos as the Three Pure Ones confronted Heavenly Dao Hongjun.

• Zhou Jinjing drew Shenni’s power from Undying Fire Mountain and used the Qiankun Cauldron and Path of Sacrifice to reverse the calamity, while Qingqing absorbed the mountain’s hidden karmic sin.
• Zhou Jinjing gave Sun Wukong the power of defiance, and he transformed into a Chaos Demon Ape, defeated the Four Great Ferocious Beasts, and took Shenni’s place as Beast Emperor.
• Sun Wukong subdued Shenni and returned with his monkey troop to the present, while Zhou Qingqing remained in the past to face the World-Destroying Mill.
• The World-Destroying Mill threatened Undying Fire Mountain and the Three Daos, but Zhou Qingqing defeated it in the past and resealed the gateway to the Immeasurable Calamity.
• The Three Pure Ones fought Heavenly Dao Hongjun in Purple Cloud Palace as Zhou Qingqing gathered Xuandu, Duobao, Yun Zhongzi, and Bai Ze in Chaos.
• Xuandu combined final fate with the qi of morality, attained Primordial Chaos without Primordial Purple Qi, and received the honorific Wondrous Joy Heavenly Venerate.
• Laozi forged the Mystic Origin Great Dao and entered the Dao Creation Realm, then blasted Hongjun out of Purple Cloud Palace before leading the others toward Three Pure Ones Heaven.

Zhou Qingqing guided the Queen Mother of the West in establishing the Vacuum Homeland and Four Heavens, challenging Buddhism’s rise. Meanwhile, Cihang Daoist confronted Buddha Mother Zhunti’s schemes in the Legend of the White Snake world and left Bai Suzhen and Little Qing at Mount Li.

• Laozi explained the Dao Creation Realm to the gathered disciples, then showed Qingqing, Jade Pure Primordial Heavenly Venerate, and Upper Pure Master Tongtian the Great Dao of Origin in his Dao Star.
• Zhou Qingqing arranged a confrontation between Sun Wukong and Six-Eared Macaque, Wuzhiqi, and Yuan Hong, and Sun Wukong defeated them before learning they were his martial uncles.
• Zhou Qingqing told the four monkeys about Sun Wukong’s origins and assigned them the trial Havoc in the Heavenly Court and Braving the Underworld.
• Amitabha Buddha freed Buddha Mother Zhunti, and Zhunti tried to recruit the White Lotus Sect before the Queen Mother of the West rejected his offer and resisted his attempt to convert her followers.
• Amitabha Buddha and Buddha Mother Zhunti established the Twenty-Eight Heavens, while Zhou Qingqing and the Queen Mother of the West created the Vacuum Homeland and Four Heavens, drawing cultivators away from Buddhism.

Zhou Qingqing swallowed the Vajra Realm into her awakened gourd, while Amitabha Buddha and Buddha Mother Zhunti tried to secure the Buddha Path’s future through new protagonists. Their plans faltered as Jade Pure Primordial Heavenly Venerate used karma to pursue the Dao Creation Realm, and Zhou Qingqing severed her own karmic threads as he entered meditation.

• Zhou Qingqing entered Amitabha Buddha’s Dream World and used the Vajra Gourd to devour the Vajra Realm, including the divisions and the arriving Shakra and his followers.
• Zhou Qingqing left the Dream World with Little Vajra Gourd, which had gained spiritual awareness, while Amitabha Buddha accepted her victory and resolved to treat her as an independent opponent.
• Amitabha Buddha and Buddha Mother Zhunti set plans in motion for Journey to the West, locating the reborn Six-Winged Golden Cicada and Sha Wujin as potential Buddhist figures.
• Sun Wukong entered the Heavenly Court and fought Patriarch Bodhi, Buddha Mother Zhunti’s incarnation, while Zhou Qingqing’s influence appeared in Sun Wukong’s staff and abilities.
• Amitabha Buddha and Buddha Mother Zhunti abandoned their plans for Sun Wukong and the Six-Winged Golden Cicada, then Zhunti created Bodhidharma as a new protagonist and helped form the Mahayana Sutra.
