Background / History
Er Ming lives in the Star Dou Great Forest alongside the Sky Azure Bull Python, Da Ming. When Tang Jiu flees Chrysanthemum Douluo into their territory, Er Ming attacks the pursuer. Tang Jiu later spends four years with Er Ming, teaching him to dance and forming a bond strong enough that he calls the ape his brother 52 53 54 88.
Er Ming answers Tang Jiu's summons during his confrontation with the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. He fights the clan's experts until he is badly wounded and exhausted; Da Ming then arrives to defend him 88 90 91. Er Ming later helps Tang Jiu fight Tang Hao, refusing to retreat even when Tang Hao explodes his spirit rings 136 137.
The Clear Sky Sect's coordinated attack severely injures Er Ming. When Da Ming is mortally wounded protecting him, he entrusts Er Ming and Xiao Wu to Tang Jiu before sacrificing himself. Er Ming is devastated by his death 153 157. Tang Jiu subsequently appoints Er Ming to lead the Beast Sect under the newly founded Myriad Beast Hall 171.
Later, Little Jiu appoints Er Ming as Titan God and promises to help him undergo Humanoid Transformation after the god war 528. Aunt Rou also decides that Er Ming should transform, hoping to curb his unruly behavior 579.

He repeatedly seeks Humanoid Transformation because he wants to experience the human world. Although he learns human phrases, he often misunderstands them, provoking fights with Da Ming and bewildering the people he addresses 54 93 101 157 351.
