The two Body Integration Paths were undoubtedly two complete extremes.
One abandoned the self, harmonized the body with Dao, followed the rules, and actively merged into an Avatar of the rules. It could wholly be described as following Heaven's course and wielding heavenly might.
The other used the self as a vessel to bear the rules, attaining Dao through the self. In a certain sense, it could also be described as defying Heaven.
And indeed, that was the case.
The former attained Dao by following Heaven. As an extension of the rules, so long as one remained within the Spirit Realm's heaven and earth, one could receive even greater reinforcement from the mighty power of the Spirit Realm's rules.
The latter defied Heaven, using the self as the rules to forge Body Integration. Naturally, it could not receive the reinforcement of the mighty power of Heaven and Earth Rules.
To put it plainly, the former was equivalent to a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator bolstered by Heaven and Earth Power, while the latter was a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator rejected by Heaven and earth, without any heavenly reinforcement.
However, what the former followed was merely the Heaven and Earth Rules of the Spirit Realm.
Once one left the Spirit Realm's heaven and earth, one's strength would inevitably be greatly restricted.
The latter, however, was itself the rules and cultivated the path of the self. Even upon setting foot in the Chaotic Void or the Myriad Realms, it would not be affected in the slightest.
Yet while dwelling within the Spirit Realm's heaven and earth, one did not follow Heaven's course. Naturally, one could not avoid being rejected by the Spirit Realm's heaven and earth.
Thus, if one bore the rules with one's own body and cultivated the path of the self,
