A World Eroded and Transformed

The World Halo was pure white and flawless, originally an intangible, illusory entity. Yet at this moment, that immaculate illusion seemed to have been polluted. Threads of reddish-brown lines darted through it like living creatures.

Everywhere the eye could see, the flawless halo was covered in threads of reddish-brown lines.

Within the perception of his Divine Sense, those reddish-brown threads were even more active. The moment his Divine Sense descended, before he could even examine them, they scattered as though startled.

"Bind!"

With a low shout, Chu Mu raised his hand and formed a seal, stirring the Outside Realm Chaos. A surging radiance of spiritual power shot forth, splitting within the outer halo into countless tiny threads of spiritual power.

Crisscrossing one another, they formed a vast net of spiritual power. Several breaths later, the net suddenly contracted. It was as though it had caught some great beast amid the waves; the instant it tightened, violent anomalous fluctuations erupted within.

Yet no matter how violent those anomalous fluctuations were, they seemed useless. The spiritual power net visibly contracted inch by inch, ultimately forming a ball of spiritual qi that hovered within the halo.

Chu Mu beckoned, and the ball of spiritual qi floated above his palm.

Within the scarlet ball of spiritual qi, interwoven grid-like patterns covered its surface. Beneath those patterns, amid the dense scarlet hue, strange reddish-brown threadlike markings could clearly be seen winding about.

Chu Mu's brows furrowed slightly. His thoughts shifted, and the scarlet sphere contracted and surged, forcibly squeezing several trapped reddish-brown threads out from within.

In the unseen darkness, it was as though some strange, nameless existence roared and howled, shaking his mind. Even with Chu Mu's cultivation, his blood and qi began to churn, nearly beyond his control.

"Hmph!"
