Ch. 222The Little Skirt

Jing Yang continued training Wu Er to use Nen and transform into a tiger-skin skirt, then arrived with his companions at Battra’s sanatorium. Battra asked Jing Yang to save his beloved and led the group to her.

  • Wu Er’s failed transformation left the Fanged Moon Tiger emaciated, and Jing Yang corrected its training while Biscuit explained that it needed to master the basics of Nen first.
  • Jing Yang told Wu Er to practice Ten, and a Star Mark gathered its leaking Aura into a stable ball above its body.
  • The airship landed at an unfamiliar sanatorium, where Rock Sparrow startled the welcoming party by ramming its leader.
  • Battra greeted Jing Yang as a divine physician and promised he would spend his entire fortune if Jing Yang saved his beloved.
  • Jing Yang agreed to see Battra’s beloved, and Battra hurriedly led the group to her.

Ch. 223Attribute En

Jing Yang began treating Battra’s vegetative girlfriend with his brutal restorative Nen ability, while Battra waited outside and hoped for her recovery. Afterward, Jing Yang trained Wu Er and came up with a way to use possession to teach it a difficult transformation.

  • Jing Yang and Shizuku entered Battra’s heavily guarded medical center with Biscuit and were escorted to his girlfriend’s ward.
  • Jing Yang asked everyone except Shizuku and Biscuit to leave before beginning treatment, and Battra and the attending physician went outside.
  • Jing Yang placed a pentagram mark on the woman, smashed her head and spine, and used his restorative Nen ability to repair the damage.
  • Biscuit recognized the treatment’s powerful restorative effect and connected it to Jing Yang’s Nine Yang ability.
  • Jing Yang trained Wu Er in its Nen techniques, then decided he could possess it to work out how to perform a tiger-skin-skirt transformation.

Ch. 224Who Wanted the Bicycle?

Jing Yang trained Wu Er to use Aura and transform his body, while Battra arrived with payment and Greed Island games in exchange for treatment. Jing Yang told Battra that his beloved had already awakened.

  • Jing Yang possessed Wu Er and used a Star Mark to keep the woman asleep until Battra arrived.
  • Biscuit struck Jing Yang after he teased her, and he reassured Zushi and the head bodyguard that the treatment was going smoothly.
  • Jing Yang and Wu Er practiced transforming Wu Er’s paw into tiger skin, briefly turning his head into a hollow hood before it returned to normal.
  • Battra brought an 80-billion-Jenie bank card and offered thirty Greed Island game sets in gratitude for treating his beloved.
  • Jing Yang accepted Battra’s offer and told him that the woman had already awakened.

Ch. 225My Place Is Pretty Big

Jing Yang restored Battra’s girlfriend and discussed whether souls existed with Biscuit and Shizuku, concluding that Nen could serve as a soul-like vessel for memories and emotions. Battra took Jing Yang’s group to his old castle to claim his Greed Island game consoles, and they arrived at the sprawling estate.

  • Jing Yang used his Star Mark to restore Battra’s girlfriend, who woke with her memories intact and embraced Battra.
  • Jing Yang asked Biscuit whether souls existed, and she explained that Nen could preserve a dead person’s memories and emotions.
  • Jing Yang concluded that Kurapika’s Resurrection would not need a separate soul if the revived clansmen’s bodies were intact.
  • Battra offered Jing Yang all thirty Greed Island game consoles and the old castle where they were stored, then arranged transport for the group.
  • Jing Yang, Shizuku, Biscuit, and the others arrived by private car at the castle on a cliff.

Ch. 226Game Console

Battra showed Jing Yang his Greed Island consoles and explained how they worked, while Jing Yang accepted the occupied consoles and promised their players would emerge. After Zushi entered the game, Jing Yang marked Battra with a Flying Star Bubble and transported him and the others to a bubble-covered space to test whether Battra's love and fears could awaken a Nen Ability.

  • Battra introduced Captain Sabazih and led Jing Yang's group to the cellar, where he had gathered thirty Greed Island consoles.
  • Battra explained that he had sought the game for its healing abilities and described the consoles, their player limits, and the trapped players occupying many slots.
  • Jing Yang decided to keep the occupied consoles, saying their players would come out, and let Zushi enter Greed Island through an available slot.
  • Jing Yang used a Flying Star Bubble to mark Battra, then transported Battra and the others into a bubble-covered space to probe his feelings about youth and aging.

Ch. 227Loading

Battra left after terminating his agreement to hire Hunters to clear Greed Island, while Jing Yang and Shizuku decided to enter the game for training. Wu Er and Rock Sparrow logged in too, prompting Biscuit to explain why Jing Yang’s Manipulator marks did not prevent their teleportation.

  • Jing Yang awakened Battra’s Nen and warned him not to seek Zushi as a teacher, suggesting he find someone stronger.
  • Battra returned with his lawyer and gave Jing Yang the declaration terminating the agreement to hire Hunters to clear Greed Island.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku discussed using Greed Island to train under Biscuit, and Jing Yang added settling his score with Razor as a possible goal.
  • Jing Yang sent Wu Er and Rock Sparrow into Greed Island using game rings and memory cards.
  • Biscuit explained that Manipulator marks did not stop the creatures from using an Emitter-type teleportation ability.

Ch. 228We're All Bros

Ida received a strange group entering Greed Island, while Jing Yang waited his turn and then tried to negotiate for the Blue Planet card instead of clearing the game. He asked Ida to connect him with Dogen, Razor, or Ging, but the chapter ended before she answered.

  • Ida discovered that a gray bird had entered Greed Island with a large white Fanged Moon Tiger waiting outside.
  • Ida identified the bird as Rock Sparrow and teleported it into the game area.
  • Jing Yang, Shizuku, Biscuit, the Fanged Moon Tiger, and Rock Sparrow entered the login room one at a time.
  • Shizuku and Biscuit examined the room's Divine Character patterns, and Biscuit rushed through the entrance before Jing Yang and Shizuku took their turns.
  • Jing Yang met Ida and asked to trade money for the Blue Planet card or speak with Dogen, Razor, or Ging.

Ch. 229Ah, She Snapped

Jing Yang entered Greed Island, heard Ida’s explanation of the game’s card-collecting rules, and criticized the lack of an open-ended game. After Ida sealed the entrance behind him, Jing Yang joined Shizuku and Biscuit outside, where they noticed someone spying on them.

  • Jing Yang asked Ida to give him the rules of Greed Island, and she explained how players collected and used cards to fill the book’s designated slots.
  • Jing Yang criticized Greed Island’s simple card-collecting objective and argued that it should be an open-world game; Ida snapped back and sealed the staircase entrance.
  • Jing Yang descended from the treehouse into the moonlit prairie and found Shizuku and Biscuit waiting with Wu Er.
  • Jing Yang pointed out that someone nearby was watching them, and Shizuku asked whether they should deal with the spy.

Ch. 230Classic Rebellion

Jing Yang, Biscuit, and Shizuku crossed Greed Island’s grasslands while Biscuit warned Jing Yang that strength could not replace experience. After Jing Yang took a bully’s cards, he decided to find Zushi and the other Hunters using his castle’s game consoles, while hinting he would look for a loophole to clear the game.

  • Biscuit told Jing Yang that his rapid growth had left him short on experience and urged him to learn to think strategically.
  • Jing Yang and his companions headed toward the town near Greed Island’s landing point, where players watched for newcomers.
  • A fat player tried to ambush them, but Jing Yang used a Flying Star Bubble to control him and take his cards before knocking him out.
  • Jing Yang checked the cards, finding twelve designated cards and a Spell Card that could send a player off the island.
  • Jing Yang said he would find Zushi and the Hunters Battra hired, reclaim his castle’s game consoles, and search for a loophole in the game.

Ch. 231Aunt Bisky's Little Lesson

Jing Yang, Biscuit, and Shizuku entered Bounty City, where Biscuit taught Jing Yang to use Ten to detect the tiny traces of Aura carried by watching eyes. The lesson gave Jing Yang a new way to sense observers, and the group reached a general store to look for maps.

  • Jing Yang's group entered Bounty City and saw task notices lining the streets.
  • Biscuit warned that nineteen people were watching them, and Shizuku had counted more of them than Jing Yang had.
  • Biscuit taught Jing Yang to keep his Ten calm and sense the faint Aura traces carried by other people's gazes.
  • Jing Yang used the technique to identify the directions and distances of observers, while Biscuit cautioned him not to rely on it against experts.
  • Shizuku connected the lesson to the importance of the subconscious in Nen, and Jing Yang spotted a general store where they could buy maps.

Ch. 232Bomber

Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Biscuit bought a blank Island Map in Andochibi and tested how realistically the island’s NPCs had been conjured. As they left the store, Jing Yang’s Rock Sparrow spotted Zushi fighting a stranger, and Zushi was killed in an explosion.

  • Shizuku bought the No. 100 Island Map for Jing Yang after learning that Greed Island’s store accepted only currency cards.
  • Jing Yang paid 10,000 Jenie to learn that the lord’s castle lay roughly 500 kilometers north, and Shizuku used the map to mark the location.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku scrutinized the store attendant with Gyo, En, and reinforced perception but found no flaws in her appearance.
  • Jing Yang’s Rock Sparrow spotted Zushi grappling with a stranger on Andochibi’s eastern outskirts.
  • The stranger sprang away, and an explosion tore Zushi apart at the waist.

Ch. 233The Worst of the Worst

Jing Yang and the others found Zushi after an explosion had blown him apart, but his body vanished before Jing Yang could save him. They concluded Zushi’s Specialist ability had prevented his death at a tremendous cost, though the nature of that price remained uncertain.

  • Jing Yang raced toward Zushi after seeing the explosion, with Shizuku, Wu Er, and Biscuit following him.
  • The group found Zushi’s upper body alive only by a faint breath, while his lower half hung from a tree.
  • Zushi’s heart stopped before Jing Yang could place a Star Mark, and white light engulfed and erased both halves of his body.
  • Jing Yang realized he had gained no Death Qi, and Zushi’s Greed Island ring had disappeared with him, suggesting the game did not consider him dead.
  • Biscuit and Jing Yang reasoned that Zushi was a Specialist whose ability allowed him to survive death at an enormous price, possibly requiring money he had earned through his own labor.

Ch. 234Old Auntie

Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Biscuit traveled north through Greed Island while discussing Zushi’s fate and ways to obtain Blue Planet. After Biscuit agreed that Jing Yang could share her training advice, he called her an old auntie and was punched into the forest.

  • Jing Yang found that he had no phone reception and discussed with Shizuku and Biscuit whether Zushi had been killed.
  • Jing Yang identified Ganshu’s group as the likely culprits and led the others north toward the designers’ castle.
  • Shizuku and Biscuit considered whether they could release Blue Planet from card form and take the gemstone away with Blobfish.
  • Biscuit carried Wu Er across a ravine, and the group stopped to rest while Wu Er and Rock Sparrow searched for food.
  • Jing Yang wrote down Biscuit’s training principles and said he wanted to pass them on to an underling.
  • Biscuit punched Jing Yang after he called her an old auntie, sending him flying toward Wu Er.

Ch. 235Biscuit's Resentment

Jing Yang defeated a powerful wild boar and learned from Biscuit how Chairman Netero understood Nen training and the Ultimate realm. The group returned to camp, where Biscuit explained Attribute En and the importance of refining one’s Nen type.

  • Jing Yang followed Wu Er to a black wild boar that had previously beaten him, then challenged it and stopped its charge with his Nen.
  • Jing Yang broke off the boar’s tusk and knocked it out, after which it turned into a low-difficulty card that he added to his Card Album.
  • Biscuit explained that Enhancer training could amplify strength many times over and said Chairman Netero had surpassed tenfold power to reach the Ultimate realm.
  • Biscuit described Netero’s four training grades and drew Attribute En diagrams to show how training deepened a Nen user’s development within their type.
  • Jing Yang compared Nen training to approaching perfect purity, while Shizuku connected the idea to aligning the body and mind.

Ch. 236Seventy-Two Transformations

Jing Yang discussed his Nen training with Biscuit and designed a cooperative transformation ability for Wu Er called Seventy-Two Transformations. As the group neared the city, they noticed a lone pursuer, and Biscuit stayed behind to draw him out while Jing Yang and Shizuku continued onward.

  • Biscuit explained how her training levels compared with Netero's, and Jing Yang saw the new rankings reflected on his Death Aura panel.
  • Jing Yang described Seventy-Two Transformations, a tiger-skin-skirt ability that would let its wearer copy or create forms using Wu Er's Nen talent.
  • Biscuit praised the ability's potential for espionage, while Shizuku pointed out that its success depended on Jing Yang's Conjurer skill.
  • Jing Yang, Shizuku, Wu Er, and Rock Sparrow traveled north and spotted the city about a hundred kilometers ahead.
  • Shizuku revealed that one person had been following them for an hour, and Biscuit told Jing Yang and Shizuku to go ahead while she stayed behind to draw the pursuer out.

Ch. 237Wasted Talent

Jing Yang and Biscuit confronted the cannibal Binotou, whose hair-eating Nen ability revealed detailed information about a person's body. Biscuit killed him after he recognized the potential to use his ability for training, while Wu Er's practice ended with him transformed into a tiger-skin skirt.

  • Biscuit dodged Binotou's ambush, though he cut off part of her braid and ate the hair to analyze her body.
  • Jing Yang continued helping Wu Er experiment with transforming into a tiger-skin skirt, then returned with Shizuku to Biscuit.
  • Jing Yang let Binotou cut and eat his hair, and Binotou reported that his body showed two different ages; he also examined Shizuku and recited her physical details.
  • Binotou asked Biscuit what she had meant by training, and she killed him with a Nen attack after he realized his ability could help with physical training.
  • Jing Yang gained one point of Death Qi, and the group discovered that Wu Er had vanished, leaving behind a moon-white tiger-skin skirt.

Ch. 238Castle

Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Biscuit reached the castle in Greed Island after Jing Yang escaped Doraemon’s pouch and Shizuku used Wu Er’s ability to recreate a man’s appearance. They found the castle empty, while Razor arrived moments later and warned Dogen and Li Site that they might have angered Biscuit.

  • Jing Yang emerged from Doraemon’s belly pouch, and the beast turned into a designated card that Biscuit collected.
  • Jing Yang took over Shizuku’s attempt to recreate a man’s face with Wu Er’s tiger skin skirt, and they headed toward the castle.
  • Six players tried to rob the group, but Jing Yang struck three and Shizuku killed the other three, adding Death Qi to Jing Yang’s store.
  • Gamm = Ilek warned the group that reaching the castle would not clear Greed Island, and Biscuit recognized him as a two-star Game Hunter.
  • Hisoka followed the group from the wilderness after learning from Chrollo that Jing Yang and his companions had gone to Greed Island.
  • Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Biscuit searched the spotless, empty castle and left; Razor then rushed in and warned Dogen and Li Site about Biscuit.

Ch. 239Dice

Jing Yang searched Greed Island’s designers’ castle while disguised as Razor and then Ging, but found no one he could see. He glimpsed a strange black polyhedron above the chandelier before leaving, and Allantrail arrived to discuss his visit with Li Site.

  • Jing Yang searched the castle as Razor, while Li Site and Dogen watched unseen and wondered who he was.
  • Jing Yang returned disguised as Ging and searched the castle again, complaining that collecting cards and clearing the game sounded like a hassle.
  • Jing Yang noticed a blurry black sphere above the chandelier, examined it with Cone, and nearly attacked it with the Nen-Drinking Sword before deciding to leave it alone.
  • After Jing Yang left, Li Site and Dogen saw the black twenty-sided polyhedron above the chandelier.
  • Allantrail appeared on the second-floor railing, said Ging and Razor should have been able to enter the real castle, and explained that he had helped design the game.

Ch. 240Flashback

Jing Yang and Biscuit discussed how Greed Island’s extraordinary cards were created, while Gamm explained that he was more interested in their origins than clearing the game. Jing Yang tested whether a player could leave the island and discovered that the attempt sent the bird back to Greed Island’s coast.

  • Jing Yang ended his transformation into Ging and considered how the Nen-Drinking Sword could help pay the aura cost of Wu Er’s Seventy-Two Transformations.
  • Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Wu Er found Biscuit eating noodles with Gamm, and Jing Yang paid the bill.
  • Gamm said he had not cleared Greed Island because he wanted to understand how its miraculous items were made.
  • Biscuit explained that Greed Island’s cards could be taken outside the game and questioned how their powerful effects had been created.
  • Jing Yang sent a Gray Feather Bird to test leaving the island, but the Jing Rock Sparrow was returned to the coast less than two minutes after flying offshore.

Ch. 241One A Short

Jing Yang and Biscuit concluded that Greed Island was enclosed by a rule-bound Nen domain, while Jing Yang abandoned an attempt to smuggle a card out using a fish. Meanwhile, Allantrail met with Dogen and Li Site, who discussed a strange floating d20 and Ging’s warning about a visitor.

  • Jing Yang used the Rock Sparrow and a fish to test whether a card could be carried beyond Greed Island, but the Paladin's Ornament was returned to shore.
  • Biscuit explained that Greed Island occupied a special domain with rules that prevented players from leaving except by permitted methods.
  • Jing Yang, Biscuit, and Shizuku discussed training, defeating Razor, and obtaining Blue Planet, then Biscuit punched Shizuku after she called her gentle.
  • Allantrail visited Dogen and Li Site, who questioned him about the floating d20 in the castle hall.
  • Allantrail said Ging had warned that someone might come to Greed Island and react interestingly to the d20, and Li Site asked whether he meant the person who had disguised himself as Ging.
