Ch. 102Victory

Jing Yang and Wing fought through a grueling catch-ball match whose power doubled with each exchange. Jing Yang won after using his Nen to keep his severed arm and the 6400 ball in play, leaving Wing unconscious and himself badly injured at the arena’s edge.

  • Wing questioned Jing Yang’s catch-ball ability, then used a thrown ball and a kicked-up stone slab to attack while Jing Yang tracked him through the Rock Sparrow’s eyes.
  • Wing caught the 800 ball and used Shu to strengthen his throw, scoring a point and pushing the ball’s value to 1600 as both fighters grew exhausted.
  • Jing Yang caught Wing’s 3200 ball at the arena’s edge and was badly injured, but the ball’s value doubled to 6400 as Wing rushed in to restrain him.
  • Jing Yang used the Star Mark’s power to break Wing’s hold, but Wing’s Ko punch severed Jing Yang’s right arm while Jing Yang held Wing in place.
  • Jing Yang controlled his severed arm with Nen and sent it throwing the 6400 ball at Wing, who concentrated his aura in front and was blasted out of the ring with Jing Yang.
  • The referee declared Jing Yang the winner, and Shizuku picked up his severed arm and brought it to him.

Ch. 103Cheat Codes Aren't So Easy to Use

After defeating Wing and earning the right to challenge a Floor Master, Jing Yang used the Star Mark to restore his severed arm. Back at the apartment, he showed Kurapika that the Nen ball from the fight remained active and was draining his aura as its number fell.

  • Jing Yang won ten consecutive matches by defeating Wing, while Zehau left the arena and the crowd celebrated Zenyu.
  • Jing Yang let the medical staff treat Wing and wrapped his severed arm, which the Star Mark was already reconnecting and healing.
  • The referee explained that Jing Yang could challenge any Floor Master from the 230th to the 250th Floors after recovering.
  • Kurapika confronted Jing Yang about risking his arm, then discovered it had been restored and realized Shizuku had retrieved it.
  • Jing Yang took Kurapika and Shizuku back to their apartment, where Shizuku asked whether the Nen ball from his match still existed.
  • Jing Yang revealed that the ball's number had risen to 11900 and was steadily falling as it drained his aura.

Ch. 104Everyone's Busy, It's Good to Be Busy

After recovering from the Nen debt that briefly forced him into Z, Jing Yang went to Heaven's Arena with Shizuku and Kurapika to arrange a Floor Master challenge, but the earliest available match was in October. He decided to visit the hospitalized Wing, while Wing was being scolded by his master.

  • Jing Yang explained that Shizuku and Kurapika were Akatsuki members codenamed Dora and Zhuque, then fell asleep after his Nen debt ability left him exhausted.
  • Kurapika guarded Jing Yang and trained his Nen while Jing Yang recovered; the forced Z ended after just over an hour.
  • Three days later, Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Kurapika learned that Zehau had already booked the only currently available Floor Master challenge for August 18.
  • A Heaven's Arena staff member explained that Floor Masters could delay challenges and were often busy with work outside the Arena, so Jing Yang booked the nearest opening in October.
  • Jing Yang suggested visiting Wing in the hospital, and Kurapika eagerly turned back to ask which ward he was in.
  • Wing obediently listened as his master scolded him over the phone.

Ch. 105Biscuit: HOHO, Is This an Ability Similar to Mine?

After Wing lost to Zenyu at Heaven’s Arena, Biscuit analyzed Zenyu’s Nen-ball ability and scolded Wing for playing into its conditions. Zenyu visited Wing in the hospital and explained the ability’s limits, leaving Wing wondering what Zenyu wanted to discuss about Nen quantities far beyond his own.

  • Biscuit learned from Wing that Zenyu was a young fighter whose Nen quantity had nearly doubled in three months and whose Nen-ball ability had defeated him.
  • Biscuit deduced that the Nen ball narrowed the gap in their Nen quantities, then scolded Wing for following Zenyu’s plan despite suspecting he was a Manipulator.
  • Zenyu, Jing Yang, and another visitor arrived at Wing’s hospital room after Wing finished speaking with Biscuit.
  • Wing realized Zenyu could heal himself and had designed the Nen-ball ability to risk injuring its user.
  • Zenyu confirmed that close-range combat let him collect Wing’s Aura and explained that exceeding the ability’s limit could forcibly extract Aura and cause prolonged Zetsu.
  • Zenyu asked Wing to remember their promised conversation and raised the possibility of fighters with Nen quantities of one or two hundred thousand.

Ch. 106Why Is It Only Beginner Level?

Wing explained Nen quantity classifications and the limits of Ken training to Jing Yang, Kurapika, and Shizuku. Kurapika then asked how strong the Phantom Troupe was, leaving Wing poised to answer.

  • Wing said that maintaining Ken for thirty minutes required roughly eighteen hundred Aura and described novice, beginner, and intermediate combatant ranges.
  • Wing shared his Shingen-ryu philosophy that Nen grew through living in the present and experiencing life.
  • Jing Yang asked whether his slower Nen growth near ten thousand Aura marked a recurring threshold, and Wing attributed thresholds to the time required to maintain Ken.
  • Wing estimated that reaching around forty thousand Aura could require twelve hours of Ken training per session, while acknowledging that individual growth varied.
  • Kurapika asked what level of strength and Nen quantity the Phantom Troupe possessed, and Wing showed no surprise.

Ch. 107Website

Kurapika sought information about the Phantom Troupe and the stolen Kurta eyes, while Jing Yang promised to explain the group’s abilities before Kurapika risked his life. Wing also learned that Jing Yang held a Black License, and Biscuit told Wing to attend next month’s Mt. Seireitou Tournament as a Shingen-ryu disciple because Chairman Netero would be there.

  • Wing recognized Kurapika as a surviving member of the Kurta Clan and explained that reliable information about the Phantom Troupe was difficult and dangerous to obtain.
  • Kurapika said he wanted information about the Phantom Troupe and the stolen eyes of his clansmen before pursuing revenge.
  • Jing Yang showed Wing his Hunter License, revealed it was a Black License, and asked for the Hunter website address.
  • Jing Yang found Kurapika outside Heaven’s Arena and arranged to discuss the Phantom Troupe’s abilities with him the next morning.
  • Biscuit called Wing and told him to enter next month’s Mt. Seireitou Tournament as a Shingen-ryu disciple because Chairman Netero would attend.

Ch. 108Cast Aside Like an Old Shoe

Jing Yang used the Hunter website to find information about the Scarlet Eyes and told Kurapika what he knew about the Phantom Troupe. The chapter ended with Jing Yang revealing that the Scarlet Eyes had entered the black market and were likely scattered among buyers and collectors.

  • Jing Yang and Shizuku searched the Hunter website, found Scarlet Eyes information for 1 million Jenie, and decided to help Kurapika recover the eyes in exchange for money.
  • Jing Yang noticed Heaven’s Arena had invited him to the Mt. Seireitou Tournament and postponed deciding whether to enter.
  • Jing Yang told Kurapika about several Phantom Troupe members and warned him against confronting them for the next five years.
  • Kurapika said he still needed to find the Phantom Troupe to learn where his clansmen’s Scarlet Eyes were.
  • Jing Yang revealed that a vagrant had found the Scarlet Eyes nine months earlier and that they had since spread through the black market.

Ch. 109Apocalypse

Jing Yang told Kurapika that the Phantom Troupe had discarded most of the Scarlet Eyes after stealing them, while a powerful Kakin prince had collected others. Kurapika vowed to survive and began pursuing Nail Chadman, one confirmed Scarlet Eyes holder, but his Apocalypse ability could not locate him without more information.

  • Jing Yang explained that the Phantom Troupe had treated the Scarlet Eyes as disposable and warned Kurapika about the Fourth Prince of Kakin, who collected human body parts and Scarlet Eyes.
  • Jing Yang urged Kurapika to grow stronger and recover Scarlet Eyes before confronting the Phantom Troupe or the Fourth Prince, and Kurapika vowed not to die before resurrecting his people.
  • Jing Yang named Nail Chadman as a confirmed Scarlet Eyes holder, and Shizuku showed Kurapika the intelligence she and Jing Yang had obtained.
  • Kurapika used Apocalypse in his Scarlet Eyes state to try to divine Nail Chadman's location, but it failed because Kurapika lacked personal contact or something Nail had carried.
  • Jing Yang offered to use his Hunter License and the Hunter website to look up Nail Chadman's personal information and recent hotel booking.

Ch. 110See You Soon

Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Kurapika tracked Nail Chadman to Waterloo City and split up to search his properties. Shizuku found Chadman first, and the three converged on him as he fled.

  • Jing Yang and Shizuku helped Kurapika buy Nail Chadman's personal records, which pointed them to three properties in Waterloo City.
  • Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Kurapika traveled to Waterloo City and divided the addresses among themselves, using special rings to communicate.
  • Jing Yang searched his assigned residence and asked Shizuku and Kurapika to join her after she spotted Chadman.
  • Chadman and his companions extorted money from a shopkeeper and smashed the shop's glass counter.
  • Chadman noticed Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Kurapika approaching from different directions and ran.

Ch. 111This Is Way Too Unreasonable

Jing Yang, Kurapika, and Shizuku tracked the Scarlet Eyes to the Bonarenu family and fought their way through the family’s headquarters. The Bonarenu Young Master watched them approach his room and reached for a handgun and gas mask.

  • Kurapika questioned Nail Chadman with Apocalypse, broke Nail’s arm when he lied, and learned that Nail had sold one pair of Scarlet Eyes to the Bonarenu family’s Young Master.
  • Jing Yang searched for the Bonarenu family and found that its headquarters was in Waterloo City.
  • Nail led Jing Yang, Kurapika, and Shizuku to the headquarters, where guards let them inside after he claimed they had business with the Young Master.
  • Jing Yang, Kurapika, and Shizuku knocked out the mafia guards across the lobby and upper floors, while Nail fainted among the fallen men.
  • The Bonarenu Young Master watched surveillance footage of the trio approaching his room and opened a drawer containing a handgun and a gas mask.

Ch. 112Can the Zoldycks Withstand Poor Man's Rose Poison?

Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Kurapika confronted the Bonarenu family’s Young Master, who attacked them with hypnotic gas. Jing Yang and Shizuku overcame the gas with the Star Mark and Blobfish, and the group left with the unconscious Young Master.

  • Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Kurapika entered the Young Master’s room, where hypnotic gas left Kurapika struggling to stay conscious but failed to stop Jing Yang and Shizuku.
  • The Young Master turned around in a gas mask and shot Jing Yang, but aura stopped the bullet before Jing Yang removed the mask and knocked him unconscious.
  • Jing Yang explained that the Star Mark let him control his and Shizuku’s bodies despite the gas interfering with their nervous systems.
  • Jing Yang ordered Shizuku to use Blobfish to vacuum the toxin from the room and from their bodies through small wounds.
  • Kurapika woke up, and Jing Yang carried the unconscious Young Master out with Shizuku and Kurapika to find somewhere else to talk.

Ch. 113Thousand Ears Society

Kurapika interrogated the Young Master and learned he had sold the Scarlet Eyes to painter Mashu Harrison, who was likely to attend the Mt. Seireitou event. Jing Yang connected the event to an invitation from Heaven’s Arena and proposed that Kurapika find work through the Thousand Ears Society to gain entry, leaving Kurapika considering Jing Yang’s offer of protection.

  • Kurapika threatened the Young Master with Apocalypse and a pistol until he revealed that he had sold the Scarlet Eyes to Mashu Harrison.
  • The Young Master identified the Mt. Seireitou Art Exhibition as Kurapika’s best chance to find Mashu, and Kurapika knocked him unconscious.
  • Jing Yang searched for Mashu and realized the art exhibition coincided with the Mt. Seireitou Tournament, an event tied to Heaven’s Arena and the Sky Arena Style.
  • Jing Yang suggested that Kurapika find a civilian Hunter job through the Thousand Ears Society to infiltrate the event, and Kurapika chose that option to gain experience.
  • Jing Yang offered Kurapika a Flying Star Bubble as protection for his life.

Ch. 114Earth's Curse Mark

Jing Yang placed a rose gold Pentagram Mark on Kurapika and demonstrated its three control methods before they parted, agreeing to meet at Mt. Seireitou on the sixteenth of next month. Back at Heaven's Arena, Jing Yang learned the tournament's entry requirements, while Shizuku applied to fight again.

  • Kurapika agreed to let Jing Yang place a Pentagram Mark on his chest after deciding to trust him.
  • Jing Yang demonstrated the mark's three control methods and explained how Kurapika could remove it by damaging it.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku arranged to meet Kurapika at Mt. Seireitou on the sixteenth of next month, and Kurapika set out to find a job that would take him there.
  • Jing Yang learned that Heaven's Arena contestants needed at least eight wins and no more than three losses to enter the Mt. Seireitou Tournament, and that Wing had declined to participate.
  • Shizuku submitted a battle application form and wrote that she was available to fight at any time.

Ch. 115An Era with Netero

Jing Yang trained Shizuku for Heaven’s Arena while Kurapika sought work that would get him into the Mt. Seireitou art exhibition. Shizuku won eight matches and accepted Heaven’s Arena’s tournament invitation, and Jing Yang and Shizuku prepared to leave for Mt. Seireitou on June 15th.

  • Jing Yang and Shizuku sparred with Ken as Shizuku prepared to fight without Blobfish.
  • Kurapika found the Thousand Ears Society and asked for a job that would let him attend the Mt. Seireitou art exhibition, preferably for a painter.
  • Shizuku defeated her opponent on May 24th, and Wing told Jing Yang he would enter the tournament as a Shingen-ryu disciple and described the elusive Sky Master.
  • Shizuku beat the Paper Airplane user on May 30th, extending her winning streak to seven as Jing Yang watched from the stands.
  • Shizuku won her eighth match on June 1st and accepted Heaven’s Arena’s invitation, ending her run in the arena.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku spent several days celebrating before preparing to board Heaven’s Arena’s airship to Mt. Seireitou on June 15th.

Ch. 116Immortal Ascension Stairway

Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Zehau arrived at Mt. Seireitou to take part in its tournament and met Wing and other martial artists at the foot of the mountain. After Sky Master explained the dangers of the Immortal Ascension Stairway, Zehau began climbing while the others prepared to follow.

  • Jing Yang and Shizuku boarded Heaven's Arena's airship with Zehau, and Jing Yang explained that he hoped travel would help him overcome a Nen growth bottleneck.
  • Wing and the young Shingen-ryu disciple Hart arrived at Mt. Seireitou and explained that tournament participants gathered at the rear mountain rather than flying to the summit.
  • Sky Master warned the martial artists that climbing the Immortal Ascension Stairway could be deadly for anyone who had not opened their Aura Nodes and learned to use aura.
  • Heaven's Arena's airship arrived, and Hart learned that Jing Yang had defeated Wing, startling him with Jing Yang's strength.
  • Sky Master vanished before the group, and Zehau led the way by leaping onto the first platform and climbing the stairway.

Ch. 117Wild Bunny Girl

Jing Yang and Shizuku raced up the Immortal Ascension Stairway, using Rock Sparrow to scout the route and discovering that the mist could help train En. Rock Sparrow then followed a powerful En into a cave, where Jing Yang encountered a familiar-looking Bunny Girl who threw her phone at him.

  • Jing Yang and Shizuku outpaced the other martial artists as they climbed the stairway, while Wing helped Hart maintain his pace.
  • Jing Yang used Rock Sparrow’s vision to navigate the route and realized the fog and terrain could help train observation and En.
  • Jing Yang sensed an unusually powerful En coming from inside the mountain and investigated through Rock Sparrow.
  • Rock Sparrow entered a cave and found a Bunny Girl holding a laptop, who spotted the bird and hurled her phone at it.

Ch. 118Poké Ball

Jing Yang, inhabiting a Rock Sparrow, encountered Biot, the Rabbit Zodiac, as she explored a cave with her unusual phone and laptop ability. He left the cave and continued up the mountain, while Zehau and the other martial artists reached the summit, where Wing’s Sky Master waited.

  • Biot threw her phone at Jing Yang’s Rock Sparrow, and the device released a swarm of glowing fireflies that lit the cave.
  • Biot scanned the bird with her phone, identified it as a Gray Feather Bird, and warned it not to fly around.
  • Biot searched the cave with her laptop while her En mapped the surroundings into a three-dimensional model.
  • Jing Yang escaped through a crack in the cave wall and resumed flying up the Immortal Ascension Stairway.
  • Zehau reached the summit first, then Zenyu and more than thirty martial artists arrived at the mountain resort.
  • Jing Yang saw the Sky Master Wing had mentioned sitting in a pavilion near the summit.

Ch. 119Clone

Jing Yang, Wing, and the other martial artists reached the summit and learned the schedule for the Mt. Seireitou Tournament. After entering Back Mountain Manor, Jing Yang wondered whether Sky Master had been a Nen Clone all along.

  • Wing reached the summit without sweating and explained to Hart that he used Aura over his body to stay dry.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku joined Wing and Hart at the pavilion, where Sky Master announced three days each of strength, skill, and perseverance, followed by a public martial demonstration on the tenth day.
  • Sky Master vanished, then led the martial artists toward Back Mountain Manor, while Jing Yang questioned how they would judge perseverance.
  • Shizuku remarked that Sky Master was unusually clean, leading Jing Yang to suspect that Sky Master was a Nen Clone.
  • Jing Yang, Wing, Shizuku, and the others entered the empty Back Mountain Manor as the gates slowly closed behind them.

Ch. 120Seven Meters

Jing Yang and Shizuku arrived at the Mt. Seireitou villa, where Jing Yang practiced his understanding of En. He demonstrated a seven-meter-diameter range to Wing, who explained why he did not use En himself.

  • Jing Yang and Shizuku checked into the villa hotel with the other tournament participants, and Jing Yang explained the difference between Nen puppets and doubles to Hart and Wing.
  • Jing Yang recalled the Bunny Girl's En and practiced his own technique with Shizuku in their room.
  • Wing visited Jing Yang and Shizuku and discovered that Jing Yang's En covered the room.
  • Jing Yang asked Wing to estimate his En's range, and Wing judged its diameter to be seven meters.
  • Wing said he could not use En and preferred to strengthen his senses to handle unexpected situations.

Ch. 121Thus Have I Heard (Part 1)

Jing Yang and Shizuku considered how the Mt. Seireitou Tournament might test strength without Nen, while Kurapika prepared to travel there for the art exhibition. That night, Jing Yang and many martial artists appeared as shambling figures on a moonlit grassland, and Jing Yang suddenly awoke from the state.

  • Wing took Hart to dine with martial artists, who discussed the tournament’s Valiant Strength contest and wondered whether Nen would be forbidden.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku strolled through the manor gardens, and Jing Yang said they would decide whether to enter the contest after learning how it would work.
  • Jing Yang planned to contact Kurapika the next day and have Rock Sparrow bring him to the mountain if he had not arrived.
  • Kurapika watched his employer and planned to visit Mt. Seireitou the next day to meet the painter who had bought the Scarlet Eyes.
  • Jing Yang found himself wandering across a moonlit grassland among shambling figures, then woke and saw Shizuku still wandering with vacant eyes.
