Ch. 122Thus Have I Heard (Part 2)

Jing Yang and Shizuku found themselves in a shared Dream space while their bodies slept in the villa garden, and Jing Yang used his Star Mark to bring Shizuku to awareness. As they followed the crowd toward a peach tree, gray-scaled snakes surrounded them.

  • Jing Yang observed translucent Shizuku and the wandering ghosts, whose bodies showed distorted memories or Dream images.
  • Jing Yang realized he was seeing through Jing Rock Sparrow after discovering himself and Shizuku asleep in the pavilion.
  • Jing Yang concluded that a shared Dream had drawn the martial artists into sleep, then used Shizuku's Star Mark to alert her through the Moon Mark.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku followed the crowd toward the peach tree and recognized Zehau and Wing among the dreamlike figures.
  • A Gray Scale Snake appeared in the grass, and many more rose around Jing Yang and Shizuku.

Ch. 123Thus Have I Heard (Part 2)

Jing Yang and Shizuku wandered through a strange Dream world populated by sleeping people’s dreamlike forms, where they saw Biot, a Stone Buddha resembling Netero, and a vision of a petal-covered Bodhisattva. After waking, Jing Yang discovered a black skeleton draining Wing’s Aura and was left wondering what the Sky Master had done and why Kurapika had not arrived.

  • Jing Yang and Shizuku moved through the Gray Scale Snake swarm and spotted Biot wandering amid web pages and scrolling code.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku watched a Stone Buddha beneath a giant peach tree place a white stone on a chessboard, then saw it crack and collapse as a Bodhisattva of peach petals struck down over the Dream world.
  • Jing Yang controlled a Little Gray Bird and surveyed sleeping people on Front Mountain before flying back to the Back Mountain Hotel.
  • Jing Yang saw a black skeleton sprawled over Wing and watched it draw Wing’s Aura into its skull while a petal Bodhisattva descended in the bird’s reflection.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku woke in the pavilion, and Jing Yang wondered about the Sky Master, the Zodiacs, and Kurapika’s absence.

Ch. 124Really Want to Give It a Squeeze

Jing Yang and Shizuku investigated the strange dream that had affected the resort and learned that Wing had also experienced it. The chapter ended with Wing asking them to describe everything from the beginning so he could understand what had happened.

  • Jing Yang wondered whether the Sky Master or another Nen User had caused the strange scenes and headed back to the hotel with Shizuku to question Wing.
  • Biot parsed the records she had saved from the dream and invited Snake Zodiac Galu to view them.
  • Galu reached Biot’s room in the form of a snake and transformed into a clone beside her.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku visited Wing, and Jing Yang described the Black Skeleton draining Wing’s life energy.
  • Wing recalled dozing off and waking exhausted, then asked Jing Yang to recount the dream from beginning to end.

Ch. 125Calling Biscuit

Jing Yang and Shizuku discovered peach-blossom marks on Wing and Hart after hearing about their shared dream, then called Wing’s master, Biscuit Krueger, to identify the ability behind it. Biscuit suspected a conjured dream world, while at the Front Mountain hotel, Biot proposed that Divine Characters covering Mt. Seireitou could explain its scale.

  • Jing Yang showed Wing and Hart a detailed drawing of the Black Skeleton from the dream, then he and Shizuku found peach-blossom marks on Wing and Hart but not on themselves or Zenyu.
  • Jing Yang reasoned that the petals were marks left by an ability and questioned Wing about whether he had experienced something similar at a previous Mt. Seireitou Tournament.
  • Wing called his master, Biscuit Krueger, who said the dream was unlikely to be caused by Manipulation and might instead come from a Conjurer creating an intangible dream world.
  • At the Front Mountain hotel, Galu’s duplicate doubted that a Nen User could create a dream encompassing the whole mountain.
  • Biot displayed a three-dimensional model of Mt. Seireitou and suggested that Divine Characters covering the mountain could account for the dream’s reach.

Ch. 126Cooperative-Type?

Galu and Biot investigated the Divine Characters at Mt. Seireitou while Jing Yang and the others called Biscuit to discuss the Dream and Chairman Netero’s connection to the mountain. Biscuit explained that the Dream could be a cooperative-type Nen ability, with its peach tree responsible for the Manipulator portion.

  • Biot showed Galu the Divine Characters she had found across part of Mt. Seireitou and said deciphering them would take time.
  • Galu told Biot she had asked Chairman Netero to bring her along because she was investigating poison related to the Dark Continent.
  • Jing Yang, Wing, and the others learned from Biscuit that she attended the Mt. Seireitou Tournament at twelve, before she had learned Nen, and that the tournament changed around forty years ago.
  • Biscuit connected the Dream’s Stone Buddha and petal Bodhisattva to Chairman Netero and said he likely understood the Dream.
  • Biscuit explained that the Dream could meet a condition without controlling Zenyu, and suggested the Peach Blossom Mark came from the peach tree’s Manipulator portion of a cooperative-type ability.

Ch. 127Out-of-Body Experience

Jing Yang and Shizuku prepared for the first event of the Mt. Seireitou Tournament after discussing Exorcism and Jing Yang’s plans to solve his heart problem. Sky Master began the tournament by knocking most competitors’ souls out of their bodies, while Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Wing resisted with Ken.

  • Jing Yang wondered whether Sky Master’s Dream was a cooperative Nen Ability and advised Hart and Wing to use surveillance to investigate the Black Skeleton.
  • Jing Yang told Shizuku he hoped to become immortal and planned to seek Nitoromi with her, while keeping Exorcism as a last resort for his heart problem.
  • A waiter with a gray-scaled snake head summoned Jing Yang and Shizuku to the tournament; Jing Yang saw the strange head through the Rock Sparrow’s viewpoint.
  • Jing Yang, Shizuku, Wing, and Hart joined the martial artists at the training ground, where Sky Master announced that the first three days would test willpower.
  • Sky Master struck the competitors with distant Nen fingers, forcing more than thirty martial artists into out-of-body states, but Jing Yang, Shizuku, and Wing blocked the attack with Ken.

Ch. 128That Rotten Old Man Is Really Devious!

Sky Master began the Mt. Seireitou Tournament by testing how long contestants could maintain the illusion of being outside their bodies, then announced that survivors would compete in remote Martial Skill. Jing Yang found the first round easy, while the chapter ended as the Jing Rock Sparrow spotted Netero at the Villa Hotel.

  • Sky Master used an Emitter technique to create the illusion that contestants' souls had left their bodies, and Jing Yang and Wing analyzed how it worked.
  • Sky Master began a three-day willpower test, and Shizuku withdrew after learning there was no prize money.
  • Contestants struggled to keep their illusory souls stable as Sky Master explained that they could move their bodies but risked losing concentration.
  • Sky Master revealed that the next round would test Martial Skill performed by remotely controlling their bodies, and Jing Yang realized the first two rounds posed little challenge to him.
  • The Jing Rock Sparrow flew toward Front Mountain, spotted Netero sitting on the Villa Hotel roof, and drew his attention.

Ch. 129Nonhuman

Jing Yang encountered Netero and joined Kurapika at the Mt. Seireitou art exhibition, where a strange beggar trapped Kurapika in an illusion before vanishing. At the Back Mountain Training Ground, Shizuku photographed Sky Master and received Biscuit’s startling reply that the man in the picture was not Sky Master.

  • Netero noticed an unusual flow of Aura around Jing Yang while he possessed Rock Sparrow, and Jing Yang flew on toward the Front Mountain.
  • Kurapika arrived at Mt. Seireitou with Damat’s bodyguards, then helped a strange beggar who used an illusion to freeze him before disappearing.
  • Jing Yang took control of Kurapika, but the beggar vanished along with the blood Kurapika had obtained, and Kurapika’s Apocalypse detected no trace of him.
  • Kurapika concluded that the beggar was not a real living creature and told Jing Yang what he had discovered.
  • Shizuku sent a photo of Sky Master to Biscuit, who replied that the person pictured was not Sky Master and asked whether the sender was Zenyu.

Ch. 130Curse

Shizuku and Jing Yang investigated the false Sky Master and suspected Netero was connected to his transformation, while Kurapika hunted for Mashu=Harrison during the art exhibition. Netero’s arrival drew attention to Harrison’s disturbing painting, and Jing Yang then revealed that the exhibition’s attendants might not be living people.

  • Shizuku told Jing Yang that the man posing as Sky Master was fake, and Biscuit suggested he had either been replaced or changed his appearance with a Nen Ability.
  • Jing Yang and Kurapika discussed whether the original Sky Master had been a Nen Clone and whether Jing Yang could use his Star Mark through the Jing Rock Sparrow.
  • Kurapika continued guarding Damat while waiting for a chance to approach Mashu=Harrison and obtain his blood.
  • Netero arrived at the exhibition with Rabbit Zodiac Biot and paused before Harrison’s painting, titled “Curse Eye,” depicting the Kurta Clan massacre.
  • Kurapika prepared to capture Harrison amid the commotion, but Jing Yang’s Jing Rock Sparrow returned after sensing something strange among the attendants.
  • Jing Yang told Kurapika that his Star Mark could not affect the attendants because they were not living people, leaving Kurapika shocked.

Ch. 131Northern Beggar, Western Poison

Jing Yang and Kurapika investigated the vanishing waiters before a strange dream drew them into scenes of the Kurta massacre and the old beggar’s laughter. After everyone awoke, a Black Skeleton attacked Hart by draining his Aura, and Jing Yang prepared to strike as Wing rushed to help.

  • Jing Yang found that waiters could not receive his Star Mark and, with Kurapika, deduced that they vanished when no one was watching them, though they later reappeared elsewhere.
  • Jing Yang left Kurapika’s bird to sit with Shizuku at the Ren grounds, where he revealed how several perspectives and brains let him manage his different bodies.
  • Jing Yang awakened Shizuku inside a dream beneath a giant peach tree, while Rabbit Zodiac Biot and Snake Zodiac Galu also found ways to escape the dream.
  • Kurapika’s memory of the Kurta Clan massacre appeared across the dream landscape, and the old beggar laughed at him from the peach tree until the dream shattered.
  • A Black Skeleton pinned Hart down and drained his Aura after he awoke, so Wing charged at it and Jing Yang gathered Finger Flick Divine Art to attack.

Ch. 132True and False Sky Masters

A black skeleton attacked the tournament martial artists and drained their Nen, while Jing Yang and Shizuku fought it until the Sky Master intervened. The skeleton and the Sky Master both claimed to be the real Sky Master, and the confused competitors accepted the skeleton’s challenge to test their strength.

  • Wing struck the black skeleton, but it absorbed his Nen and ignored attacks from martial artists marked with peach blossom petals.
  • Zenyu shot the skeleton’s head off, then Jing Yang and Shizuku attacked it while Wing, Zehau, and the others restrained it.
  • Jing Yang fired a powerful Finger Flick Divine Art shot, but the Sky Master knocked the combatants away and redirected the shot before it could hit the skeleton head-on.
  • The black skeleton and the Sky Master argued over which one was the real Sky Master, while Jing Yang asked them to explain the situation.
  • The black skeleton defended draining the competitors’ Nen and invited them to test their strength, and Hart volunteered to punch its sternum.

Ch. 133Netero, Who the Hell Do You Think You Are?!

Jing Yang and Shizuku investigated the Peach Blossom Marks as the tournament grounds erupted into materialized Dreams and sleepwalking martial artists. Netero confronted a figure claiming to be the Kakin Emperor, while Jing Yang watched without understanding how the Kakin mystery connected to the strange events.

  • Jing Yang broke the Black Skeleton's chest with Ko, then left the tournament with Shizuku and persuaded Wing and Hart to forfeit after realizing the Peach Blossom Marks were influencing them.
  • A snake-headed waiter burst into Gray Scale Snakes, and Jing Yang concluded that the snakes, the Black Skeleton, the old beggar, and the Dreams were connected.
  • The old beggar appeared in Jing Yang's room, vanished into Aura, and caused Shizuku's Meteor City Dream and Wing and Hart's Dreams to take physical form.
  • Dreams spread through the hotel and tournament grounds as the peach tree on the cliff bloomed and sent petals across both mountains.
  • Netero arrived and faced the Black Skeleton and the youthful, white-haired master, whose forms merged into a man claiming to be the Kakin Emperor.
  • Netero told the man that Gero equaled Hui Guo Rou and that he had died long ago, then struck him with a palm as Jing Yang received an anxious message from Kurapika.

Ch. 134Heavenly Solitary Shadow Drunken Death Dream Life

Jing Yang and Kurapika confronted the art exhibition’s living dreams while Netero fought the Gray Scale Snake Nen beast modeled on his old friend, Gero-Hui Guo Rou. As the beast unleashed poisonous mist across Mt. Seireitou, the story revealed how Netero and Beyond had arranged its hundred-year existence.

  • Kurapika concluded that the exhibition fed on emotional experiences, while Jing Yang watched Netero repeatedly knock the Kakin Emperor apart.
  • Kurapika recognized Mashu-Harrison among the materialized dreams and attacked him with his Skull Knight Aura.
  • Netero told the Kakin Emperor that Gero-Hui Guo Rou had died long ago and destroyed the Nen beast, which re-formed under its Vow and Restriction.
  • The Nen beast spread Gray Scale Snakes across Mt. Seireitou and released poisonous mist after declaring itself Heavenly Solitary Shadow Drunken Death Dream Life.
  • A flashback showed Gero create a Nen Clone to live for a hundred years, and Netero honor their agreement despite Beyond urging him to end it early.

Ch. 135Parasitic Nen Beast

Jing Yang and Shizuku helped treat the people poisoned by the gray mist after Netero defeated Gero’s Nen clone. Netero then brought them to a cavern, where he revealed the Sky Master, Gero=Hui Guo Rou, was already dead, leaving Jing Yang to wonder what Nen beast the former Kakin emperor had possessed.

  • Netero asked Jing Yang and Shizuku to help find and detoxify the tournament participants, and they treated the unconscious martial artists at the Back Mountain Manor.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku found Wing and Hart, who chose to wait before accepting treatment, but Galu later detoxified them and explained that the gray mist acted like a hallucinogen.
  • Galu asked Jing Yang and Shizuku to accompany her to Netero, while Kurapika asked her to detoxify Rock Sparrow as well.
  • Galu led Jing Yang and Shizuku into a cavern marked with Divine Characters, where Netero introduced the dead Gero=Hui Guo Rou as the Sky Master and former emperor of Kakin.
  • Jing Yang suspected that Gero had once possessed a Nen beast granted through the Pot-in-Egg ritual.

Ch. 136Nen Beast Governs the State

Netero explained that Gero Hui Guo Rou had been preserved by a strange poison after dying long ago, and Jing Yang suspected Gero’s unseen Nen beast had ruled Kakin in his place. Shizuku removed the poison from Gero’s body, but an ominous shadow attacked Galu outside the cave.

  • Netero explained how his century-long agreement with Gero’s Nen clone had ended and said Gero’s body could finally be freed.
  • Jing Yang questioned whether Gero had possessed an unseen Nen beast, and Netero recalled that someone had governed Kakin while Gero trained abroad.
  • Jing Yang and Netero discussed the Hunter Exam before Jing Yang told Shizuku to remove the poison from Gero.
  • Shizuku vacuumed the poison from Gero, leaving his dead body without its gray cracks or strange noises.
  • Netero, Jing Yang, and Shizuku left the cave, where an eight-armed black shadow lunged at Galu.

Ch. 137This Is Its Escape Route

Galu tested the poison left in her body and revealed that it had marked targets for a final attack, while Biot and Netero tracked the resulting post-mortem Nen entity through the cave. After Netero weakened it, the shadow fled and pounced at Jing Yang, despite Biot's warning that it might behave like a Parasitic Nen Beast.

  • Galu used Snake Shedding to evade the eight-armed shadow, then explained that she had left poison in herself to learn its purpose.
  • Galu identified the poison as a mark for the clone's final attack, and Biot used her En and laptop to analyze the shadow.
  • The shadow produced a piercing Nen sound and vanished using Divine Characters after Netero suppressed it.
  • Netero broke the Divine Characters and repeatedly struck the shadow as Biot reported that its Aura was fading and it would disappear within three days.
  • Biot warned that the shadow might share traits with a Parasitic Nen Beast, and it pounced at Jing Yang.

Ch. 138Exorcism Is Entirely Unnecessary

Jing Yang learned that Gero=Hui Guo Rou’s final Nen had left a parasitic beast attached to him, and Netero recounted how he and Gero had met and searched the Dark Continent for a cure to Gero’s poison. Biot discovered the beast could drain its targets’ Aura and life force after drawing blood, but Jing Yang refused Netero’s offer to seek an Exorcist.

  • Wing, Hart, and the others saw the eight-armed shadow clinging to Jing Yang, and Biot identified it as a harmless parasitic Nen beast that fed on his Aura.
  • Jing Yang revealed his real name and asked Netero to find an Exorcist, while Biot agreed to analyze the beast’s abilities.
  • Netero told Jing Yang and Shizuku that he had met Gero=Hui Guo Rou 120 years earlier, lost a fight to him, and later went with two companions to the Dark Continent seeking a cure for Gero’s poison.
  • The eight-armed shadow attacked Biot, and Netero threw it over the cliff before Biot determined that it could absorb a target’s Aura and eventually life force after consuming their blood.
  • Netero asked Biot to check whether an Exorcist was available, but Jing Yang said exorcism was unnecessary.

Ch. 139Octopus or Phoenix

Jing Yang decided to keep the parasitic Nen beast and learned to transfer it to Rock Sparrow, where he could suppress it with controlled aura. After naming it 'Reflection,' he tested its retaliation ability with Kurapika, leaving the beast attached to Kurapika and draining his aura.

  • Jing Yang refused Biot’s offer to contact an exorcist, explaining that he believed the Eight-armed Shadow was useful and could be controlled.
  • Jing Yang transferred the Eight-armed Shadow to Rock Sparrow and used the bird’s 'Zetsu' and weakened aura to hide or limit the beast, then named it 'Reflection' at Shizuku’s suggestion.
  • Jing Yang and Shizuku visited Kurapika, who had recovered the Scarlet Eyes and stored them in his Dolphin Bookshelf.
  • Jing Yang explained the parasitic beast to Kurapika, who warned that its safety depended on Jing Yang’s assumptions about Guardian Spirit Beasts.
  • Kurapika attacked Jing Yang to test 'Reflection,' and Shizuku revealed that its activation required the attacker’s blood.
  • Kurapika cut himself and flicked blood toward Jing Yang, triggering 'Reflection,' which attached itself to Kurapika and devoured the aura covering his body.

Ch. 140Suffering

Jing Yang and Shizuku tested Reflection’s aura-draining counterattack with Kurapika, then discovered that Reflection could return stolen aura to Jing Yang when his reserves fell dangerously low. After training with the replenished aura, Jing Yang suspected the extra exertion had increased his Nen quantity, and Bunny Girl Biot arrived with dinner to find him and Shizuku half-dressed.

  • Reflection drained roughly one-eleventh of Kurapika’s Nen twice, and Kurapika asked Jing Yang and Shizuku to help pursue one of two identified Scarlet Eyes holders.
  • Jing Yang found that suppressing his aura made Reflection nearly invisible, then trained with Shizuku while maintaining Ken.
  • When Jing Yang’s aura fell below one-tenth of his Nen quantity, Reflection returned about 2,000 aura it had absorbed from Kurapika, extending his training.
  • Jing Yang speculated that enduring the extended training could increase his Nen quantity more than usual, and Shizuku agreed they would need to test it.
  • Bunny Girl Biot delivered the dinner Jing Yang had ordered and found him bare-chested while Shizuku stood inside in her underwear.

Ch. 141Fat Moon Tiger

Jing Yang learned that Netero would take over the Mt. Seireitou Tournament, then possessed Wu Er on Ghost Island and discovered he could transfer Reflection to him. The next morning, Jing Yang watched Netero judge the martial artists and asked Wing to pass a message to Biscuit about a Blue Moon Pearl.

  • Biot told Jing Yang and Shizuku that the Mt. Seireitou Tournament would continue under Netero at seven the next morning.
  • Jing Yang contacted Kurapika, who declined to attend because his bodyguard assignment was not over.
  • Jing Yang possessed Wu Er on Ghost Island, learned he had been injured fighting wolves, and transferred Reflection onto him before ordering him to run ten kilometers every day.
  • Jing Yang returned to his own body and told Shizuku he might be able to bring Wu Er to Mt. Seireitou, while Shizuku began reading an old book.
  • Netero held the tournament at the back-mountain training ground and rapidly defeated the challengers, including Zehau as he entered the field.
  • Jing Yang asked Wing to pass a message to Biscuit about a Blue Moon Pearl found on Ghost Island.
