Background / History

Ziwei's Chen Clan is based on Ziwei Mountain in Yan Province. It rose to become a Long-lived aristocratic family five thousand years ago, after its founding ancestor Chen Xuanfeng entered the Great Longevity Realm. Its decline began after Chen Xuanfeng vanished three thousand years ago; despite retaining considerable foundations, its former glory faded. 8

The clan nonetheless retained hidden protections. Its Back Mountain Forbidden Area housed Chen Tianyuan, an Apex Realm descendant of Chen Xuanfeng and a stabilizing force for the family. 8 95 By the time Chen Zhixing began rising, Chen Daoyan served as clan head and was regarded as one of the foremost Nirvana Realm cultivators, while the family remained a major power beneath the Immortal Dao Lineages. 157

Chen Zhixing's emergence reshaped the clan's trajectory. Chen Tianyuan formally granted Chen Zhixing the Ziwei Treasure Seal, making him the Fifth Family Head.
