During one of the Vice President's meetings, Freedom Front members released an energy-based biological virus into the ventilation system.

It affected only the location where the meeting was held.

Later, Alliance research found that this bio-genetic virus could survive only in a specific environment.
The air composition adjusted by the Intelligent System in the ventilation system at the meeting venue that day happened to be suitable for this bio-genetic virus to spread.
In other words, once this bio-genetic virus was exposed to the air, it could no longer infect anyone.
