Blown to Pieces!
Aside from Tiger-Face King, another group was keeping an eye on Yang Bo—the people at the base. They were puzzled. Yang Bo had seemingly been messing around, yet he had earned hundreds of thousands of Credit Points in just a few days. Was he really just messing around?
So Yang Bo had no idea that someone was watching him from tens of thousands of kilometers above. Of course, from Yang Bo's perspective, the sky was always a vast expanse of white—it had been altered.
"This damn game company. It took an hour just to travel here," Yang Bo grumbled as he hurried along.
If the game's officials had heard that, they probably would have rolled their eyes at him. There were so many flight enhancement parts in the game store. Why didn't he buy any?
Yang Bo really would not buy them. In his previous life, he had loved freeloading in games. The game store could go to hell. Of course, he had also been poor.
This time, Yang Bo had brought four Shockwave Bombs and one Micro Hydrogen Bomb. Two hung from his mecha's chest, two from either thigh, and one from his arm.
The Micro Hydrogen Bomb came with an energy shockwave, while the Shockwave Bombs did not. Shockwave Bombs were for confined spaces, while the Micro Hydrogen Bomb was for open ground.
Yang Bo walked somewhat strangely. There was no other reason—whenever he saw some small animal on the radar, he stepped on it...
Dynamic Vision+1! Dynamic Vision+1!
Yang Bo had already experienced the benefits of Dynamic Vision. During combat training, it allowed him to calculate an opponent's attack speed, distance, and so on as quickly as possible, forming a complex trajectory in his mind. It was like an interception system—what to intercept first, what to intercept later, and what posed the greatest danger.
Blood Bat and his three subordinates were moving through the mountains. The four wore fitted armor, something like Iron Man's armor.
The difference was that their armor blended into the surrounding environment. Where the surroundings were green, the armor was green; where there were rocks, the armor took on the color of stone.
Judging from their appearances, one of the four was a woman, while the others were men. Their features could not be seen clearly, but they were all tall.
They moved lightly and quickly, traveling through ravines filled with trees and shrubs. They looked as though they knew martial arts and could glide through the air.
"We're finally here." The group arrived atop a cliff and looked down at the Plain below. One of them spoke as they stood at the boundary between the mountains and the Plain, a kilometer away.
"Commander, give the order."
"No rush. Since he came out here, he must be after Mutated Creatures. We'll strike when he fights one." Blood Bat sounded utterly confident.
"Commander, could that bastard be planning to kill the Shadow Rat?" someone asked.
"Definitely. According to the intelligence, the Federation even classified that Shadow Rat as a D-Class Mutated Creature. Those people never know how to adapt. The Shadow Rat's stealth ability rivals an A-Class, though its combat strength truly is not high." Blood Bat nodded.
"Commander, the target is still fifty kilometers away from us." The woman in the group spoke, her voice somewhat hoarse.
"I'll assign the tasks. We must blow up that bastard's mecha. I'll be the main attacker and cut off his retreat. You three..." Blood Bat issued a string of orders.
"Yes!" The group split up and carried out the plan.
Yang Bo looked at the terrain ahead and was speechless. On one side was grassland, where the Wild Grass was taller than elsewhere. The scan showed it reached ten meters high. Along one side of the mountain range stood enormous cracks, one after another, and some showed signs of human damage.
"Trying to find one rat in a place like this? Forget a rat—even a tiger would be impossible to find." Yang Bo had only come to take a look while passing by. His actual destination was a cave dozens of kilometers beyond the mountain range, where there were many bats.
Yang Bo took one look, then headed up the mountain with an awkward same-side stride.
Yang Bo's awkward stride left Blood Bat and the others dumbfounded. Their ambush position was quite far from Yang Bo. Mechas had radar, and in such open terrain, once they were exposed, they would immediately be attacked by the Federation Government Army's space weapons.
"That bastard..." Blood Bat was stunned. Because the Government Army controlled the skies, communication on Blood Bat's side was extremely difficult. By the time Blood Bat received the news, ten minutes had already passed.
The Rocket Pack activated, and Yang Bo leaped from one mountaintop to another. He reached his destination in less than five minutes.
"This mecha radar really isn't good enough." Yang Bo had arrived at a place where the mountainside was filled with cracks and caves of all sizes. However, the mecha radar was limited, so its detection depth was insufficient.
Yang Bo soon heard a strange, noisy sound. This was the ability of his Sonic Control. Although the mecha could not detect it, the waves received by the mecha were transmitted to Yang Bo. They just were not as stable or clear.
He chose a relatively small cave—small for a mecha, anyway. It was actually five or six meters wide.
The cave sloped downward. He took out a Shockwave Bomb, adjusted the timer, and tossed it inside.
Yang Bo moved away from the entrance. More than ten seconds later, there was a boom.
A stream of black dust burst from the cave entrance.
Sonic Control+1! Sonic Control+1!
A Dense Crowd of information appeared in his mind.
"Damn it." But in the next second, Yang Bo realized that the bats in the other caves had been startled. They cried as they flew out.
There was no time to worry about that. He picked several caves with the loudest sounds and threw Shockwave Bombs into them one after another.
Boom! Boom! Boom! The successive explosions shook the entire mountain, and rocks on the mountainside tumbled down one after another.
Thousands upon thousands of bats flew from the other caves, stunned by the blasts. But in daylight, these bats were like headless flies.
Yang Bo checked his Sonic Control skill. It had reached Master (9750/10000).
"Still a little short." Yang Bo looked at the remaining Micro Hydrogen Bomb on his body, then at the bats that kept flying from the caves and landing everywhere. Quite a few had gathered in a nearby valley.
Blood Bat's group of four finally spotted Yang Bo's mecha. It stood on the mountain opposite them.
"Move." Blood Bat gave the order in a low voice. The four leaped through the air toward Yang Bo. Their Biological Mecha Camouflage was impossible to detect, as though they were invisible.
The moment the four lunged forward and reached the sky between the two mountains, a thunderous explosion suddenly erupted from the valley.
A massive shockwave mixed with countless fragments sent the four flying into the air as if struck by an invisible pneumatic hammer.
Yang Bo had tossed the Micro Hydrogen Bomb into the area where the bats were most concentrated, then hurried to a safe distance to admire his handiwork.
"Holy shit!" At the instant the hydrogen bomb exploded, four figures resembling miniature mechas suddenly appeared in the air. Their armor shone with all kinds of light, as though draped in rainbows, and the massive shockwave blasted them straight into the sky.
"Bastard!" Blood Bat and the others had never expected Yang Bo to be carrying a hydrogen bomb. While they had been leaping through the air, they had not guarded against anything below. The blast sent them flying, and the hydrogen bomb's Energy Shock prevented their Biological Mecha Camouflage from adjusting in time, exposing them at once. Energy erupted from Blood Bat and the others as they broke free of the massive shockwave. Four figures, each trailing an afterimage, slashed toward Yang Bo.
The instant Yang Bo saw them, he activated his Rocket Pack and leaped away, fleeing!
But just as he took off, Blood Bat and the others made elegant turns in midair. Several strangely shaped longswords swiftly slashed toward Yang Bo.
But at that moment, a huge brilliance descended from the white sky. Then Yang Bo's virtual screen went black again.
