Inside Base 16's control room, a piercing alarm suddenly rang out. Without any action from the commander, the large screen displayed—
Eight mechas stood atop a ridge as more than a dozen Shadows pounced at them. The immense impact sent the eight advanced mechas rolling into the valley beside them.
The dozen-plus Shadows followed like, well, shadows. The Alarm System continuously locked onto them, but unfortunately, they were far too close to the mechas.
"What are we waiting for? Attack! Trading eight advanced mechas for these Mutants is well worth it!" someone in the control room shouted anxiously.
"That's a planetary Orbital Cannon. The authorization isn't on our side." The base commander shook his head.
"Damn it..."
The complainer's voice abruptly cut off. In those few short seconds, all eight mechas had been destroyed. The dozen-plus figures tore open the mechas, took away some of their parts, then vanished into the caves within the valley.
Everyone at the base frowned. The commander said, "Why hasn't the fleet commander intervened? The Blade Mechas were blown apart in the last two incidents."
"Captain, could those advanced mecha pilots have powerful backgrounds?"
"They shouldn't..."
Just as everyone was puzzled, several caves in the valley suddenly emitted intense Energy Fluctuations. Though they could not see the sound, the shaking ground made it clear that this was no trivial matter.
Then a familiar Blade Mecha shot into the sky from one of the cave entrances... The base commander was dumbfounded. "Replay the footage?"
"Sorry, this is a non-sensitive area. There is no recording."
Meanwhile, when Yang Bo saw the rhino, he knew there was no chance of flying away. He immediately ducked into a nearby cave, tossing a Micro Hydrogen Bomb at the entrance in an attempt to stop it from pursuing him.
