Ch. 41Slaying

Yang Bo fought through the hostile mechas inside Dome Entertainment City, using his Plasma Blade and practiced maneuvers to destroy or disable several attackers. When the dome broke open and Air-to-Space Fighters arrived, he escaped into the stage basement, concealed his mecha in extradimensional space, and turned Stealth.

  • Yang Bo deflected the mechas’ fire with his Energy Shield and used a Leaping Slash to split one enemy mecha in two.
  • Yang Bo exploited the attackers’ poor coordination and unfamiliar weapons, then pursued and struck down mechas as they scattered.
  • The dome broke open, prompting Gene Evolvers to flee while Yang Bo continued attacking the enemy mechas.
  • Air-to-Space Fighters shattered the dome again, and Yang Bo rushed into the stage basement to remove his clothes and store his mecha in extradimensional space.
  • Yang Bo activated Stealth and used his earlier Sonic Detection to reach the stands as fighters flew over the concert venue.

Ch. 42Ace Mecha Pilot?

Yang Bo escaped the hostage crisis at Dome Entertainment City and learned that the government had credited Dimensional Modification Company with the Blade Mecha’s actions. As Liu Zhijie explained the battle, the news showed a Planet Guardian using a red blade to destroy three Mechas, leaving Yang Bo to realize how close he had come to being caught in the attack.

  • Yang Bo passed inspection outside Dome Entertainment City, met Liu Zhijie, and accepted his offer to get a drink.
  • A live interview claimed that an Advanced Supervisor from Dimensional Modification Company had piloted the Blade Mecha, while Liu Zhijie told Yang Bo the company’s Space Button had been stolen.
  • Liu Zhijie explained that the pilot’s battle record, knowledge of Mecha weaknesses, and decision to eliminate the commander had helped defeat the Red Earl’s Mecha Pilots.
  • Yang Bo considered how his Sonic Wave Control and the Space Button might have helped him operate the Blade Mecha like his own body.
  • The virtual television showed a Planet Guardian using a crescent-shaped red blade to pierce three Mechas, and Yang Bo realized he might have been killed if he had left the basement later.

Ch. 43Energy Weapon

Yang Bo learned about Homologous Energy Weapons and Armor while discussing the Red Earl attack with Liu Zhijie. After news revealed Red Crystal Logistics Company was tied to the extremist faction, Yang Bo worried the group had infiltrated the military and decided against buying a house.

  • Liu Zhijie explained how Homologous Energy Stones and Energy Armor matched their users, and Yang Bo wondered whether his mecha could turn invisible.
  • Liu Zhijie described Red Earl’s extremist beliefs and said the Alliance could track its members after studying the commander’s armor.
  • The Alliance Security Department announced that Red Crystal Logistics Company was a Red Earl asset and that extremists had clashed with authorities at the spaceport.
  • Yang Bo realized the people he had killed might have been linked to a military fleet and considered fleeing, while Liu Zhijie anticipated business from the company’s seized assets.
  • Yang Bo declined Liu Zhijie’s offer to lend him money for a house and asked whether a person could use an Energy Weapon left by a predecessor.

Ch. 44Liu Zhijie's Scheme

After the attack on Dome Music Venue, Liu Zhijie reassured Yang Bo about his failed Gene Serum injection while secretly planning to bind him to the company. Yang Bo returned home, weighed his next steps, and grew interested in buying an Energy Weapon.

  • Yang Bo asked Liu Zhijie about ancient martial arts and his failed Gene Serum injection, and Liu Zhijie claimed the company might fund another attempt if Yang Bo proved himself.
  • Liu Zhijie gave Yang Bo a week off and planned to seek compensation, then worried about casualties and whether Yang Bo might quit.
  • Yang Bo returned home, reviewed his improved skills, and sensed that his damaged mecha was repairing itself.
  • Liu Zhijie learned that three subordinates had died and two were missing, then attended a meeting about recruiting staff amid rising extremist activity.
  • News outlets reported Red Earl's defeat, and the Edin Alliance announced plans to analyze the commander's armor to track the faction.
  • Yang Bo debated buying a house and searched online for Energy Weapons, considering visiting a weapons market in disguise.

Ch. 45Troubling Problem

Yang Bo encountered Li Aido while walking through his locked-down residential community and decided to prioritize strengthening himself. Worried that authorities might trace the fake Space Mecha button to him, he secretly returned to the room where he had found the real one and left with an ancient oil painting as well.

  • Yang Bo walked around the community, heard Li Aido humming, and recognized her as the Gene Evolver he had encountered at the concert.
  • Li Aido watched Yang Bo leave, recalled the whistle from the previous night, and drew his likeness after returning to her temporary residence.
  • Yang Bo decided to buy a house and train to improve his strength, but discovered that real estate transactions had been suspended.
  • Worried that the Security Department might investigate the fake Space Mecha button, Yang Bo used Stealth to revisit the room and found no signs that anyone had entered.
  • Yang Bo took the fake button and the ancient oil painting from the room, then returned home wondering how to hide the painting.

Ch. 46Abused

Yang Bo destroyed the paintings linked to Red Earl, returned a poor-quality Energy Stone, and trained in mecha combat until he settled on close-range piloting. He ended the chapter alarmed by Red Earl’s announcement of retaliatory attacks against the Edin Alliance.

  • Yang Bo dissolved the canvas and shattered the jade-like scrolls to prevent investigators from connecting them to Red Earl.
  • Yang Bo returned the low-quality Energy Stone and browsed falling housing prices while waiting for government operations to resume.
  • Yang Bo repeatedly trained with a Blade Mecha, improved his close-combat endurance, and customized commands to make his movements faster.
  • Yang Bo tried remote combat training but repeatedly lost to an opponent whose predictive shots disabled his mecha.
  • Yang Bo watched Red Earl announce retaliatory attacks against the Edin Alliance and worried about whether residents could escape.

Ch. 47Lost!

Yang Bo became lost in the Underground Passage while trying to farm Camouflage, then found a sinkhole where Mutants gathered hornless bison and carried mecha parts. The Mutants had spotted him and were searching the lower levels, while Yang Bo remained unaware of their presence nearby.

  • Liu Zhijie considered relocating after the Red Earl’s threats disrupted his company’s business and prompted others to leave the planet.
  • Yang Bo entered the game, headed for the underground entrance, and explored the first level carrying bombs and a Plasma Greatsword.
  • Tiger-Face King’s subordinate spotted Yang Bo and alerted the Mutants, who sent searchers into the Underground Passage.
  • Yang Bo lost his way after using water to hide his tracks and heard repeated explosions from battles on the lower levels.
  • Yang Bo found a misty sinkhole full of hornless bison and spotted several Mutants carrying mecha parts before one blew a signal that made the bison gather.

Ch. 48Interesting?

Yang Bo used hydrogen bombs and the Homologous Energy Stone to lure Mutants into the open, allowing an Orbital Cannon and Air-to-Ground Fighters to destroy them. After collecting Mecha weapons and gaining several abilities, he learned the weapons were unusable by other Mechas, while Tiger-Face King put a bounty on him.

  • Yang Bo launched four Micro Hydrogen Bombs at the cattle and Mutants in the sinkhole, then used the energy from the Homologous Energy Stone to escape upward.
  • The explosions cleared the mist and exposed the airborne Mutants to an Orbital Cannon, which blasted them to ashes.
  • Air-to-Ground Fighters attacked the remaining Mutants and collapsed an Underground Passage as Yang Bo collected Mecha weapons and gained abilities including Tracking, Camouflage, and Sonic Wave Control.
  • Tiger-Face King blamed Yang Bo for the destruction and offered a Fire Energy Stone Mine as a bounty for his death.
  • Yang Bo learned that Mecha weapons could only be used by the Mechas they belonged to and that the salvaged weapons were nearly worthless.

Ch. 49Bountiful Harvest

Yang Bo reviewed his improved abilities after the game’s battle and considered what he had learned about the Mutants. Meanwhile, directors forced Bald Head and the Security Department’s golden-haired supervisor to cooperate in tracking their target, while Yang Bo discovered that his Sonic Detection had grown dramatically stronger.

  • Yang Bo checked his skills, found that Mecha Repair and Tracking were Advanced and several other abilities had improved, and tested his strength by crushing metal and jade ornaments.
  • Yang Bo wondered why he had gained no powers from the two Mutants he killed, then reviewed the battle and realized one Mutant had moved at five times the speed of sound.
  • Alliance Gene Serum Company directors confronted Bald Head and the golden-haired Security Department supervisor over the Red Earl Extremist Organization and ordered them to resolve the matter within a month.
  • Bald Head and the supervisor argued over responsibility and agreed to compete to catch the target, while the supervisor revealed that special operations personnel remained on the target’s planet.
  • Yang Bo tested his Sonic Detection and found that its range and clarity had increased substantially without alerting a nearby Gene Evolver.

Ch. 50New Direction of Sonic Wave Control

Yang Bo adapted to his newfound physical strength and experimented with using sonic waves to sense the ground as he considered how to escape the danger on the planet. At the chapter’s end, he visited an Energy Weapons shop to look for a weapon, only to find himself unsure how to choose one.

  • Yang Bo tested his strength, considered using Stealth to leave the planet, and went outside wearing a mask.
  • Liu Zhijie told Yang Bo that the company planned to leave the planet and offered him a Gene Serum or secret technique if he came along.
  • Yang Bo declined to decide immediately and wondered whether sonic waves could be used for targeted destruction.
  • Yang Bo amplified his footsteps and found that he could sense the ground about three meters below him.
  • Yang Bo entered an Energy Weapons shop, where the attendant told him to choose for himself and offered no returns.

Ch. 51Eh, Eh

Yang Bo bought an Energy Weapon that strongly resonated with him and discovered it could be stored with his mecha using a Homologous Energy Stone. He also spotted a woman following him and considered stealing armor so he could use Stealth without removing his clothes.

  • Yang Bo tested the Energy Weapons and found that a plain Tang Dao blade resonated with his energy at over ninety percent compatibility.
  • Yang Bo touched exotic beast-hide armor, felt a reaction, and decided he could steal it later using Stealth.
  • Yang Bo bought the Tang Dao for ten million Credit Points and noticed someone following him on his way home.
  • Yang Bo traced the masked woman's trail and learned that she lived in another building in his residential complex.
  • Yang Bo inserted the Homologous Energy Stone into the Tang Dao's hollow hilt and found he could make the blade appear and disappear with his mecha.

Ch. 52Stalemate

Yang Bo monitored a woman while experimenting with Sonic Wave Control and improving his equipment. He finally learned to send Sonic Attacks through obstructions, then discovered that the woman was being targeted by rival departments of a company, whose Security Department planned to take over the mission.

  • Yang Bo tested Sonic Wave Control through solid objects for days, eventually learning to attack targets behind obstructions by gathering sound waves from simultaneous finger snaps.
  • Yang Bo sharpened his Energy Weapon and decided to keep his strength hidden while he continued watching the woman.
  • Yang Bo saw a man arrive at the woman's home, where the two argued; interference measures prevented him from hearing their conversation.
  • The woman accused the Security Department of stealing her Supervision Department mission, while the man presented an order from her supervisor demanding cooperation.
  • The woman left to pack, and the man watched Yang Bo's residence while considering ways to obtain his biological sample.

Ch. 53Fighting +16!

Yang Bo followed the man who had infiltrated his home and discovered that he was an illegal agent assigned to obtain a biological sample and eliminate him. After learning the agent planned to act the next day, Yang Bo knocked him unconscious and considered how to dispose of the body.

  • Yang Bo detected the man breaking into his residence and followed him to his home in the underground parking lot.
  • Yang Bo slipped into the man's residence and saw him use a device to spy on Yang Bo's room.
  • The man complained that Yang Bo had left no biological traces and searched his residence for surveillance devices.
  • The man contacted his Supervisor, who ordered him to finish the mission quickly and warned that he had to leave on a smuggling ship within two days.
  • The man said he would make his move the next day and revealed that he had brought a Black Potion.
  • Yang Bo struck the man unconscious with an Energy Weapon and began thinking about how to dispose of his body without leaving a trace.

Ch. 54The Mastermind

Yang Bo learned that Four Seas Gene Serum Company had experimented on the original owner and was trying to recover his biological samples, but he decided to build his strength before confronting the corporation. He entered Mecha Game to train Sonic Wave Control, unaware that Tiger-Face King and others had learned he was heading toward the bat cave.

  • Yang Bo watched a woman sent by the organization dispose of the dead attacker and remove the equipment he had planted.
  • Yang Bo identified Four Seas Gene Serum Company as the group behind the attack and suspected its serum had caused the original owner's death.
  • Yang Bo decided that his knowledge and strength were too limited to challenge the powerful company yet.
  • Yang Bo checked that his Mecha Game data could be transferred, then ignored the forum insults and entered the game.
  • Yang Bo chose to level Sonic Wave Control at the bat cave, while Tiger-Face King and people interested in his Energy Stone mine received news of Yang Bo's departure.

Ch. 55Tiger-Face King Watches the Show

Yang Bo searched for bats in the dangerous zone but instead encountered a Silver Armor Rhino, while players and Mutants made plans around him. After Yang Bo fled into a cave with the rhino in pursuit, Shadows ambushed the high-end mechas watching him.

  • Yang Bo found the bat cave empty, followed information to another location, and entered the dangerous zone in his mecha.
  • A group of high-end mechas arrived, while Mutants led by a Metal Superpower User crept toward them to steal their rare metals.
  • Tiger-Face King learned that the mechas had lured an injured Silver Armor Rhino toward Calamity Star and chose to watch from a distance.
  • A Silver Armor Rhino appeared near Yang Bo, who fled into a cave and threw a hydrogen bomb at its entrance.
  • The blast knocked the rhino down briefly, but it roared and charged into the cave after Yang Bo.
  • More than a dozen Shadows attacked the high-end mechas as their pilots watched Yang Bo's escape.

Ch. 56Metal Control

Yang Bo escaped the Silver Armor Rhino by racing through the caves and emerged in his Blade Mecha amid wrecked mechas and a dead Mutant, gaining Metal Control twice. At Base 16 and underground, observers struggled to understand how he had survived, while Tiger-Face King decided to bring him a gift.

  • At Base 16, the commander and staff watched the Silver Armor Rhino and other Mutants destroy eight advanced mechas before the creatures retreated underground with metal parts.
  • Yang Bo fled from the Silver Armor Rhino through a cave, using Shockwave Bombs and Micro Hydrogen Bombs while narrowly dodging the beast's attacks.
  • Yang Bo's Blade Mecha collided with a Mutant in the dust and emerged from the cave; he received Metal Control +8 twice and found wrecked mechas in the valley.
  • Tiger-Face King watched the Silver Armor Rhino chase Yang Bo and saw the Blade Mecha emerge, leaving him and his subordinates baffled.
  • Tiger-Face King decided to visit his neighbor and bring him a gift.

Ch. 57Shameless

Yang Bo fed dismantled mechas to a Silver Armor Rhino and fought off an attempt to seize a Mutant. The game abruptly blacked out, and when it resumed, the Silver Mecha had taken the surviving Mutant.

  • Yang Bo provoked the Silver Armor Rhino with a Shockwave Bomb, then watched it swallow a dismantled mecha arm.
  • Yang Bo dismantled eight advanced mechas and fed their parts to the Silver Armor Rhino, which stopped at the batteries and kicked a weakened Mutant toward him.
  • The Silver Armor Rhino had crushed the Mutants underground after Yang Bo's hydrogen bombs drove them from their hiding place.
  • A Silver Mecha landed to capture the Mutant leader, but Yang Bo slashed the Mutant with his Plasma Long Blade and gained Metal Control +16.
  • The Silver Armor Rhino kicked another barely breathing Mutant toward Yang Bo, but the screen went black and the Silver Mecha flew away with the surviving Mutant.

Ch. 58Martial Law

Yang Bo considered how to develop his abilities without drawing attention, then watched Pado Star Chief Executive Leibo announce the Red Earl investigation findings and new martial-law restrictions. The planetary defense system was upgraded to military-grade, making unauthorized uses of superpowers far more dangerous.

  • Yang Bo reflected on the rewards for capturing the B-Class Mutant leader and on the risks of displaying his abilities under Pado Star's strict laws.
  • Yang Bo received an official notice that Leibo would announce the Red Earl investigation report and legal changes.
  • Leibo reported thousands of confirmed deaths and missing people from the Red Earl attack and announced compensation for those affected.
  • Leibo announced that Pado Star's planetary defenses would become military-grade, the alarm level would rise to red, and the Intelligent System would gain more authority.
  • Yang Bo looked up the new alarm rules and realized that the system could order Laser Cannons to fire on anyone it judged to have violated the superpower ban.

Ch. 59Biggest Change

Yang Bo received a notice requiring Superpower Users to register as the community upgraded its Alarm System, then tested how Metal Control changed his body and other abilities. He decided to keep training and enter the game, while weighing whether to leave with Fatty Boss or find a more secure place to live.

  • Yang Bo received the community notice and saw two grim-faced residents upstairs receive notices as well.
  • Yang Bo metallized his body and discovered that his skills vanished from view and his internal energy fell, but his Sonic Control became far more powerful.
  • Yang Bo realized metal skin boosted his body's explosive power, warned himself not to get reckless, and considered leaving with Fatty Boss or buying a house with a shielded basement.
  • Yang Bo entered the game and cursed after the mecha repair cost him 1.8 million Credit Points.

Ch. 60Keep Grinding Bats

Yang Bo investigated why Mutants and advanced mecha seemed to converge on him, then planned to resume grinding bats. Meanwhile, eight players waited outside the base to take revenge on Bird-Slaying Bro.

  • The Alliance senators argued over the missing mecha, the investigation, and Pado Star's Chief Executive obstructing migration.
  • Yang Bo reviewed his recordings and suspected that Mutants and advanced mecha had been targeting him.
  • Yang Bo studied the game's information and chose bats as his next target for support abilities.
  • Yang Bo suspected that an advanced mecha had scared away the bats and decided to act on the guess.
  • Eight players waited outside the base, determined to punish Bird-Slaying Bro and expose his real address.
