Vibranium was Wakanda's metal. It was not available on the market and was even prohibited from being sold.
But Tony had money superpowers and acquired plenty of Vibranium through the Black Market.
Wakanda was xenophobic and had no contact with the outside world, but there were always a few people inside secretly selling Vibranium for profit.
Building an Iron Battle Suit was naturally for his own safety.
Likewise, Obadiah Stane, a director of Stark Industries, was sent to prison to live out his retirement.
Tony could not keep such a ticking time bomb by his side, even if the man was his uncle and had watched him grow up.
After dealing with all that, Tony turned his attention to the Chat Group. Watching the members' abilities, especially the miraculous Eastern martial arts, filled him with longing.
