Background / History

The Chat Group contacted Xu Yi with an invitation to join the All Heavens Chat Group. Upon joining, Xu Yi found it empty, with only a newbie guide in its files and many functions unavailable. As the first member, he was automatically made Group Owner. The Chat Group stated that its previous members had left and its records had been cleared; Xu Yi was granted one random cross-world invitation opportunity every seven days. 4

It initially presented itself through a neutral, mechanical voice and interface. Its stated purpose is to connect beings across myriad worlds, increase member activity, unlock higher permissions, and help members transcend fate and reincarnation so that the Chat Group itself may eventually transcend. 4 53 68

The Chat Group has a contentious early relationship with Xu Yi. It initially insists on rules concerning loans, points, and shop purchases, but Xu Yi bypasses the mall’s restrictions and directly accesses its items, threatening to consume its origin. In response, it offers permissions and secret techniques, then proposes cooperation: it will directly exchange items using origin power if Xu Yi helps it through an upcoming Tribulation Gathering. 74 75

Xu Yi later enters the Chat Group’s private hyperdimensional space, where he meets its humanoid incarnation. The encounter reveals that its “health bar” is its origin manifestation; its origin decreases when used. After Xu Yi’s influence alters its form, the originally genderless system begins manifesting as female and becomes known as Group Niang. 75

The Chat Group identifies other Systems and Chat Groups as competitors. It considers worlds containing its bound members to be its territory, seeking to defeat rival Systems or seize their Source Points. It confronts the Luck Plundering System alongside Xu Yi and later subdues the Martial Arts Emperor System, turning it into a servant of the Chat Group. 172 209

During the conflict with the Straw Hat Chat Group System, Group Niang defeats its counterpart despite the latter’s Source Point enhancement by revealing multiple health bars, including a golden one.
