A Great Battle? Overwhelming Strength!
"Hissss!!!!!!"
"Awooo!!!!!!"
The two roars were deafening.
The storm stirred up by the roars alone seemed enough to overturn everything.
But to Talot, it only gave him a refreshing breeze, with no lethality whatsoever.
"Do you know your breath stinks?" Pinching his nose was the greatest harm he could inflict on them.
Of course!
These colossal creatures, resembling prehistoric beasts, relied on their fanged jaws as one of their greatest weapons when fighting. And since they surely fed mainly on raw meat, not only would their breath reek, but their entire bodies must have given off an indescribable stench.
Seeing Talot remain completely still, the Giant Serpent clearly had not expected this tiny creature—so small it could barely see him—to withstand its roar.
It immediately swung its enormous tail down like a whip.
To Talot's small body, that massive tail blotted out the sky.
But while the attack looked intimidating, it had no real power against Talot, and it was painfully slow.
Talot did not take it head-on. He simply turned and dodged the tail strike.
On the other side, seeing Talot evade the Giant Serpent's attack, the Dreadbeast was also surprised. But it did not hesitate, lunging forward to bite Talot apart and kill him.
But how could it be that easy? This time, Talot did not dodge. Instead, he raised one hand.
One hand braced against the Dreadbeast's upper fangs, while his feet stood atop its lower fangs.
No matter how hard it exerted itself, it could not budge Talot in the slightest.
"Looks like being big doesn't necessarily mean you're strong enough that even I can't withstand you." After giving that assessment, Talot raised his other hand and condensed a dazzling Light Bullet.
"Pop~~!!!"
The Light Bullet shot from his hand and plunged directly into the Dreadbeast's throat.
In an instant, the Dreadbeast's eyes bulged wide. Its body seemed to be enduring unbearable agony as it trembled violently and roared without pause.
Finally, after Talot withdrew from the Dreadbeast's massive jaws—
"Boom~~!!!!"
A violent explosion erupted inside the Dreadbeast's body.
The enormous Dreadbeast, dozens of meters long, was blown apart on the spot, its flesh and blood scattered everywhere.
The scene was so bloody it was beyond description.
Nearby, the Giant Serpent's round eyes widened enormously.
With the Dreadbeast dead, it became even more wary.
Talot faced it, waiting for it to attack.
He would not have attacked them in the first place, but since they had taken the initiative to attack him—and intended to kill him—they had to be prepared to be killed by him.
The survival of the fittest—the cruelest rule of nature.
"Hissss roar~~~!!!" The bloodthirsty roar rang out once more as the Giant Serpent launched another attack.
But it was smarter than the Dreadbeast. Knowing it could not swallow Talot, it coiled its massive body around him, circling him before sweeping its huge tail sideways at him.
A savage attack. Even if the Giant Serpent possessed some intelligence, that was all it had.
"That's twice now. Since you refuse to back off, then take my punch!!!" With a loud shout, Talot gathered power in his right fist.
Facing the massive tail coming straight at him, he threw the punch.
"Bang!!!" The terrifying force did not knock the tail back. Instead, it shattered the tail outright, reducing it to a mass of flesh and blood that rained through the air.
The Giant Serpent wailed in agony. Having lost a section of its tail, its enormous body rolled amid the piles of corpses on the ground.
Seeing that it was about to hit the Blood-colored Fruit Tree, Talot acted decisively and fired an energy wave that directly ended the Giant Serpent's life.
As the Giant Serpent and Dreadbeast died, the Blood-colored Fruit Tree absorbed the dense scent of blood, creating an exceptionally eerie scene.
At the same time, with the Giant Serpent and Dreadbeast gone, the other giant beasts were immediately overcome by greed. They stopped fighting one another and rushed over in a swarm.
This sight surprised Talot even more.
"If I'm right, the Giant Serpent and Dreadbeast were the guardian beasts protecting this Fruit Tree. They were originally about to eat its fruit, but I killed them. That means the other giant beasts no longer have anything to fear." After making the simplest deduction, Talot did not hesitate and rapidly descended to the Fruit Tree.
The Fruit Tree stood twenty meters tall. You could call it huge, and it truly was.
But compared to the other trees, it appeared quite small.
Floating before the Blood-colored Fruit, Talot controlled his body and held fast to his will, refusing to let his instinctive desire influence him.
Even if it could increase his strength, he would not eat something of unknown origin before understanding how great the risks were.
What if it was poisonous? Or what if it could control a person's mind? He might end up as nothing more than a walking corpse.
So he had to take it away first and use the testing equipment inside the Spaceship to examine it. He could check whether the Spaceship's stored records contained any information on this kind of fruit, or use other creatures to test it.
The Frieza Army's predecessor was the Cold Army, which had dominated the Milky Way for who knew how many years. As a result, its data on the flora and fauna of various planets was extremely comprehensive.
Although they did not possess complete intelligence on the Aoyun Star System, many planets in the universe, despite having different species, still shared certain similarities.
"But with fruits this large, and so many of them, how are we supposed to take them back?" Talot pondered, one hand pinching his chin while the other rested beneath his chest.
They couldn't exactly uproot the entire tree and take it with them.
Before long, roars and tremors from the ground reached his ears again. The giant beasts were approaching.
This time, however, he did not need to act. Since Talot had dealt with the giant snake and the Dreadbeasts, Gine and Selari had come down and taken care of the three bizarre-looking giant beasts that approached.
"Didn't I tell you not to come down? It's too dangerous, Aunt Gine, Selari," Talot said.
The giant beasts here were still highly dangerous.
It was only because he was so strong that they posed no threat to him.
Gine had some strength as well—at the very least, she could crush giant beasts with power levels of two or three hundred. But Selari could not. Her strength was still far from enough to deal with these giant beasts easily.
If she were surrounded or attacked continuously, her life could be in danger.
"We were worried about your safety," Gine said.
"It's okay, Brother Talot. I'm strong too. At the very least, I can protect myself. I won't hold you or Aunt Gine back," Selari said, clearly understanding what Talot meant.
Since she had put it that way and no longer showed the fear she had at first, Talot let go of his overly protective mindset.
Saiyans were highly adaptable. Sometimes, just one experience was enough for them to grow tremendously.
Perhaps seeing him effortlessly kill the giant snake and the Dreadbeasts, and remain unaffected despite all the bloodshed, had indirectly spurred Selari on.
"Ehh~~! So it's this kind of fruit. No wonder it looked familiar." After taking a closer look, Gine suddenly said something that caught Talot by surprise.
