Three days later, time in the Mortal Realm had passed in the blink of an eye.
Before they knew it, three days had passed since Talot and the other two arrived on Earth and came to Kami's Lookout.
During those three days, they had temporarily stayed at Kami's Lookout under Kami Piccolo's arrangements.
Because of their agreement with Kami, they had remained at the lookout the entire time and had not gone down to the Mortal Realm.
What seemed like a simple matter was actually quite difficult to accomplish.
As Kami Piccolo explained, a considerable number of meteors fell to Earth every day. Many burned away through friction with the atmosphere, while even those that landed on the ground often did not leave much of a trace.
Trying to trace impact records from the past several months was an extremely time-consuming and exhausting task.
And there was also the possibility that their target had been discovered and taken away by someone on the ground.
In short, they could only rely on luck now. If they were lucky, they could find it quickly; if not, they might never find it at all.
To put it simply, it was like searching for a needle in a haystack.
At the center of the plaza before Kami's Lookout.
Talot and Selari were currently sparring.
In terms of strength, Selari was naturally no match for Talot. However, this kind of training brought remarkably obvious improvements, so Talot never grew tired of it.
If he was not sparring with Selari, then he was sparring with Gine. He had even fought both of them at once on quite a few occasions.
To be honest, it was only because he had no better opponents. Otherwise, he would not have limited himself to Gine and Selari.
For Selari and Gine, fighting Talot brought them even greater improvements.
Selari's Battle Power had finally broken through the thousand-point mark over these three days, reaching 1,020.
After being suppressed for so long, these three days of release meant Selari would grow even faster over the next period of time.
As for Gine, her numbers were about the same as Talot's, only changing by around ten or twenty points.
When their exchange of fists and kicks ended, Selari flopped straight onto the ground, gasping for breath.
Only Selari would make such a bold, completely unrestrained gesture.
Any other girl would have shown at least a little restraint and not acted so recklessly.
Yet it was precisely her frank and straightforward personality that made Talot find Selari increasingly adorable. There was no barrier between them when they were together, nor were they constrained by the relationship between a man and a woman.
"Brother Talot, you really are getting stronger and stronger... Hah...! Hah...!"
Though she was already exhausted, Selari could not stop herself from praising Talot.
They were both only six years old. If she were a little older, Selari would surely be saying such fierce words as, "As expected of the man I have my eye on."
"You're getting stronger too. Over these three days, not only has your control over your strength improved, but your understanding of ki has gone even further," Talot said with a smile.
Hearing Talot's praise, Selari's already rosy cheeks turned even redder, and a sense of pride rose within her.
Talot had no idea that this girl's affection for him had grown deeper and deeper. She had reached the point where even a little praise from him could send her imagination running wild.
It was only after resting for quite a while that Selari recovered. She sat beside Talot on the nearby steps to rest.
Their gaze fell upon Gine, who stood at the edge on one side of Kami's Lookout.
Though they had managed to calm Gine down and persuade her to wait over the past three days, her worry for Kakarot had only grown heavier.
This was different from how she had worried about Bardock and Raditz in the past. They were now on the same planet, yet as his mother, she could do nothing.
"Brother Talot, do you think Aunt Gine will get sick if this keeps up? It's already been three days. That Namekian God isn't playing us, is he? There has still been no news of Kakarot. What should we do next?" Worried about Gine, Selari asked Talot.
Talot was stirred by her words as well.
After so many years together, seeing Gine like this made him feel an impulse to tell her where Kakarot was.
Talot was confident that if he personally guided Kakarot, he could at least prevent him from becoming an evil Saiyan.
But he still could not get past that hurdle. After all, merely having someone guide Kakarot would not turn him into the Son Goku from the original story.
What would happen if there were no Son Goku from the original story?
Wait a little longer. I can only let you down, Aunt Gine.
He had already made up his mind. At the very least, Son Goku from the original story had to be born.
As for the future, even if things changed, it did not matter.
"Since there is still no news of Kakarot, how about we take a walk around Earth? Maybe we'll find some clues," Talot said to Selari.
The mention of going down to explore Earth made a special light shine in Selari's eyes.
"That's great! Brother Talot, you have no idea how stifled I've been here. This place is nice, but there's nothing here. Stay too long, and anyone would go crazy." Selari was the kind of girl who could never sit still.
Talot smiled at her reaction, and the two of them got up and walked toward Gine.
After some discussion, Gine was persuaded as well.
Rather than waiting here, they might as well go down and search for themselves.
At least that would give them a little more hope.
Kami Piccolo could not stop them over this either. After all, they were only going to the Mortal Realm to find their family. If he tried to stop them, it would likely backfire.
Still, Kami Piccolo was more or less reassured about Talot and the other two.
After spending three days with them, he had determined that although Talot and the others were indeed powerful, they did not seem to be utterly vile people. A basic level of trust had been established.
Of course, trust was trust.
One should not intend to harm others, but one must remain wary of being harmed.
Kami Piccolo still held something back.
For example, he had actually already found the target, but he had not said so.
He wanted to observe Talot and the other two more carefully to see what their true natures were. What one saw in such a short time could very well be false. Now that the three of them had gone to the Mortal Realm, it was the perfect chance for him to properly discern them.
"Lord Kami, now that they've all gone to the Mortal Realm, do you need me to follow them?" Popo asked.
Clearly, although he understood Kami's intentions, Popo was still worried and wanted to share Kami's burden.
"Forget it. Let them move freely for now and see how things go. You've worked hard these past few days as well. Go rest," Kami Piccolo said.
"Very well, Lord Kami." Popo nodded, but did not leave.
Kami Piccolo paid it no mind. He focused his attention and looked down upon the Mortal Realm.
At this moment, he was not only watching Talot and the other two as they departed, but also looking toward a remote mountain forest somewhere in the Mortal Realm.
According to Earth's geographical names, it was Mount Paozu! He had found the Spaceship, and he had found Kakarot.
He had kept the information hidden because he could not be sure, nor did he dare gamble.
Although Talot's group consisted of only one woman and two children, the power they possessed was far too great.
If they found the child Kakarot and suddenly decided to make a move against Earth, then Earth would become something in the palm of their hands.
