Every few hundred to a thousand kilometers, Talot used the Dragon Ball Radar several times to check whether there were any Dragon Ball signals within range.
His original plan had been to follow the map he knew to Mount Paozu, obtain the Four-Star Dragon Ball, and meet Kakarot and Son Gohan at the same time.
Though he was unsure when exactly Kakarot had hit his head in the original story, it could have happened at any point.
To put it plainly, Talot had initially believed it happened within a month or two of Kakarot being picked up by Son Gohan.
But now, more than three months had passed since Talot came to Earth. By that count, it had already been half a year since Kakarot arrived on Earth.
He continued onward.
More than ten minutes passed without him noticing, and he had no idea how many thousand-kilometer stretches he had crossed when the Dragon Ball Radar suddenly picked up a Dragon Ball signal.
This direction was not Mount Paozu. Mount Paozu lay another two thousand kilometers or so to the east. If he remembered correctly, this place should have been north of Mount Paozu... North—right! The first Dragon Ball Bulma found with the Dragon Ball Radar in the original story seemed to have been the Five-Star Dragon Ball in a great valley in this direction.
With an idea in mind, Talot immediately flared his ki and flew toward the direction indicated by the Dragon Ball Radar.
Before he knew it, he had crossed over a thousand kilometers and arrived amid the mountain ranges in the northeastern region. A long, narrow valley appeared before him.
Descending from the sky, Talot narrowed the Dragon Ball Radar's scanning
