"What was that just now?"
Tang En bent over, hands braced on his knees, gasping for breath.
"I don't know." Lu Sheng looked back toward the villa. Through the haze, something indistinct seemed to be moving there.
"Whatever it was, we needed to find someone and question them carefully. Or find information that could help us understand this thing," Lu Sheng said quietly.
The reason he had decisively left instead of staying to fight was that he had sensed that blades were useless against that invisible Anomaly.
"Information... so it looked like we really had to go to the Isis Sect?" Tang En wiped the blood from his face.
"Were you all right?" Lu Sheng found his appearance rather alarming.
"I'm fine. My stomach just feels a little off." Tang En coughed twice.
Lu Sheng walked over and tapped several key acupoints on his body. Though he had not been in this world long, he had already figured out the basic structure of the human body. The rough examination revealed no problems.
"No problem. Your internal organs were indeed fine—it just looked frightening. This blood was caused by capillaries rupturing under pressure. Rest up and you'll be fine."
Lu Sheng came to his conclusion.
"Looks like my luck was pretty good after all." Tang En felt somewhat relieved.
The two walked over to a row of public benches by the street and sat down to rest.
Lu Sheng took some drinks from the convenience store nearby. They each cracked open a can and drained it.
"Now we're homeless. What were we supposed to do? All our food was there." Tang En was speechless.
