Ritual II
The instant the Snake-Headed Man heard the voice, his entire body jolted violently. His originally ferocious grin swiftly turned to terror and worry, then instantly shifted again into struggle and pain.
"Quick, pray to the power of mathematics!!" Lu Sheng shouted urgently at Ai Lin and the other two from the building in the distance.
Ai Lin and the other two seemed to awaken from a dream. They all linked into the Mathematics Network and prayed loudly toward the Snake-Headed Man.
"Praise mathematics!"
"Mighty and omnipotent mathematics, descend with your great power and punish the existence before us that has broken free of the rules."
"My lord, Advanced Mathematics, You are the Father of Heaven, the pillar of all things in this world. I pray that You will treat all things as the Heavenly Father does, purge heresy, and perfect the future."
The three of them rattled off prayers at rapid-fire speed, using them to activate the power of the Mathematics Network.
Standing upstairs, Lu Sheng covered his eyes with a pained expression, unable to keep watching.
Though he had made up all these prayers himself for fun, hearing them in person still filled him with an indescribable sense of shame.
"Punish him! Geometry!!"
Ai Lin suddenly pointed at the Snake-Headed Man and shouted. Then she began rapidly chanting a string of complex, incomprehensible numbers.
The air trembled faintly, as though something were violently quivering along with the syllables before passing onto the Snake-Headed Man.
He let out a pained howl and staggered back several steps.
The power of the Mathematics Network Lu Sheng had established was naturally not something a mere little Void creature like him could resist.
In barely a dozen seconds, the Snake-Headed Man toppled crookedly to the ground, convulsing all over as gray smoke
