A great cloud of dust rushed at him. A dark red diamond-shaped lamp hung in the middle of the room, flickering with an unsteady crimson glow.
"There's actually still light?" Lu Sheng glanced around in surprise, confirming that there were no lines supplying it with energy.
He stepped closer for a better look and discovered that the lamp was carved from a solid red fluorescent gemstone.
Directly beneath the lamp was a strange formation: a triangle enclosed within a circle. Three different symbols were marked in three directions around the formation.
The three symbols resembled, respectively, a dying man, a leaping fawn, and a twisted bull.
Dragging the two girls into the room, Lu Sheng circled the formation several times. He soon noticed that the floor tile behind the human-like symbol on one side seemed movable.
"Rise." Lu Sheng beckoned.
A floor tile slowly rose from the ground, revealing an emerald-green cylinder hidden to the west.
The cylinder connected beneath the floor tile, like a gigantic test tube filled with glowing green liquid.
Lu Sheng beckoned again, and the cylinder floated up on its own, slowly flying into his hand.
