Following Lu Sheng's finger, Andy looked over in confusion.
"There? What's there?" His tone was startled, as if he found it strange.
"You can't see it? This?" Lu Sheng walked over and pointed at the Eye of Sin. "This thing here is what I've been searching for all along."
"??" Andy had no idea what Lu Sheng was talking about.
"My apologies, Your Highness. Although I understand what you mean, the place you're pointing to is blank. There's nothing there," he answered respectfully.
"Blank?" Lu Sheng frowned tightly and examined the oil painting again. "Where did this painting come from?"
"This is a photograph of the original painting preserved in A Fu Galilo Palace, captured directly through technological means. The original was painted by a famous artist a thousand years ago, so what we see here is actually a record from a thousand years ago," Andy explained.
"A painter from a thousand years ago?" Lu Sheng gently ran his hand over where the Eye of Sin was. Though this oil painting was only a reproduction, its distinct texture could still be felt.
"Are you sure you can see something there?" Andy stepped forward in confusion and reached out to touch the spot Lu Sheng had touched.
It was still smooth, with only the feel of paper.
He had found and printed this painting from among numerous photographs of the original. Now, it seemed there was something unknown hidden within it.
"Never mind. Leave this painting here. You can go now," Lu Sheng said with a shake of his head.
"Yes, I shall take my leave." Though deeply curious, Andy still followed the basic rules of a subordinate and silently dissolved into black smoke.
