• Fauvety explained that demons’ sacrifices had exposed him to the Desire Mother Tree, so he separated his corrupted self, the Cosmic Dark Side, and fought Her for control of it.
• Fauvety offered Hobart the ring and enhanced Oil Painting abilities in exchange for killing demons, but Hobart refused to make a deal and questioned whether Fauvety should regain his freedom.
• The dream shattered, and Hobart discovered Fauvety’s ring had attached itself to his spirit body; he used Distortion and the Power of Order to remove it.
